My sister's gone, but I woke up with one of those slabs from the murderworld. Does Vallo think this is a fair trade? Don't get me wrong, I like being able to punch things even better than before, but I was kind of getting used to being a big sister again. Guessing this is the day everything goes back to 'normal' for everyone. I think I finally get what the word bittersweet is supposed to mean. Maybe it's good timing for the slab, because I actually do want to hit something today.

Just letting everyone know that tomorrow's Zeph'aeratam classes are going to be cancelled, but we'll be meeting back up again for Thursday's classes. It has been brought to my attention that self care is real important, so this is my attempt at dabbling.

MM 2.0 ATTENDEES

Now that we're all home, I just wanted to say: hey, I'm Orym. I hadn't met most of you before all of that and there really wasn't time for pleasantries, so now felt like a good time.

Thanks for all the work you guys put in to getting us out of there. You all did real good, for whatever my saying that is worth.

Murder Mansioners, drinks (and food) on me at Al's tonight and all this week. You more than fucking deserve it.

UNTAMED + SIGNIFICANT OTHERS

I was thinking that it had been some time since we had a family gathering, for no reason other than just enjoying one another's company. We could host here at Lotus Pier, of course, with dinner and refreshments served. Perhaps October 3, if that is not too late of notice for all?

All right, I've slept on it and that race was a lot of fun. (In fairness, I thought it was a lot of fun yesterday too, but now it's a for sure thing.)

Now that it's over, though, I feel like I want to actually learn how to drive. Not that dodging vines, a massive dinosaur, lightning, and gravity aren't all a great way to have a first go at it, but it feels like it might be a good skill to have? Outside of those kind of unique circumstances. At least, I'm assuming they're unique and that's not just how things are for people with cars.

Also, just want to recognize mine and Chet's really great pit crew, because they did a good job. Sorry all that pit prep and research was for nothing.

Now that university has begun at last, I should like to host a study group here at the covert. We can use my pavilion in the evenings now, as it is almost finished except for the roof, which is always the most difficult and time-consuming part and the part where we are inevitably interrupted and have to leave it unfinished. I should like to meet some of my fellow students in person and I am sure we can be of help to each other even if we are studying different subjects.

Who should like to attend, and what is your preferred day?

I am relieved that all that the hiccup from last week revealed about me was my baking habits, though I suppose that is not much of a surprise to anyone who has visited Lotus Pier in the last several months. I will always enjoy making my old favorites, but it has been nice to try new things. If there is one thing that odd week in December was good for, it was letting me discover a love for a different type of food creation.

I want to continue trying new things, but I keep coming up with the same ideas when searching on the internet, so I wanted to ask here as it seems like a good way to get new suggestions: do you have a favorite recipe or type of food that might be a bit out of the norm?

Well, I thought I was getting used to the technology in this year but apparently I should have been more prepared for betrayal.

They have bunny shaped buns at this festival with various fillings, though I've only tried the custard. Another booth has dragon shaped croissants, though these ones are not for sale here. They look like works of art.

I don't think taking on George's business has been good for my heart sanity. He is everywhere in this place. And it is a daily reminder of what a doomed pair we were.

Ugh. Forgive me. I just needed to say this. I would not want anyone else to make sure his life's work received proper care. It is just more difficult to bear than I expected.

At the risk of you saying something lazy and sarcastic, would like some extra hours this week? I want to reorganize the displays. I am tired of hitting my elbow on the Diabolic Daredevil shelf and fearing for my life.

I think, during the cool Scottish winters, that the heat emenating from the underground hot springs at the covert would be really quite pleasant; I know I certainly enjoyed it here in the last few weeks of winter when I moved in.

It has rather the opposite effect now. Good Lord.

As an update regarding the Zeph'aeratam classes, for those that were interested: starting the first week of July I'm going to be doing morning classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting at 7AM and Thursday evenings at 6PM at the training grounds. I know that for some that's very early (hence the evening option), but I always start my mornings with it and just think that's the best time to get those exercises in. I think that if you come to one of those morning sessions, you'll agree with me--but no judgement if you choose the evening, because I know not all schedules allow early morning wakeups.

Anyway, feel free to come, if you're interested. Bring a weapon if you want, but it isn't required at all.
