Opening some deliveries that I forgot about because I had shoved them under my bed when the future child thing happened and...poll time:

Corsets - an appropriate gift from law clients or no? It's very nice, but an unusual pick. A nice cab sauv would have been fine too.

Lawbaby interns - you get next week off for various holidays happening. Come back the following Monday ready to work because we're going to be dealing with the laws and boundaries concerning the metaphysical planes of existence and what happens when you kill someone on another plane. (Hint: lots of paperwork for us aka you.)

I'm on vacation for ten days starting today to make up for last month. Don't break any magical laws in the meanwhile, thank you.

To those who have enquired, yes, I've been enjoying all the pumpkin delights your world has to offer since they first began to peek 'round the corner in August. You needn't worry about me, but thank you to all the messages on the network and the post-its on my office door alerting me to various new offerings as they appear.

I'm not certain why I have such an enjoyment for autumn - perhaps it's because our autumn back home is so sub-par. The Empire's capital occupies a tropical climate best suited for growing aggressive flowers and recalcitrant kraken; we don't get colder so much as less humid. Needing layers for anything other than decoration is still novel to me.

Good morning, Bonnie. Put your professional hat on: I have an idea and I'd like your feedback on it. We don't have "internships" where I'm from, merely indentured servitude, which I am told despite all appearances to the contrary are not the same thing. I think instituting an internship within the Department would be an excellent way to encourage young magic-users to consider the DAO as an opportunity in employment. I'm thinking part-time, paid, we'll work around their schedule, but it would predominantly be someone to alleviate our workloads as well as continue to foster good relations between the Outlanders and native Vallo covens. Your thoughts?

So in Vallo, there's obviously a lot of magical creatures and non-magical creatures. What you might not know is that some of those magical creatures (the ones that are native to Vallo, Outlander animals or magical familiars fall under a different category) are afforded sanctuary status, where they're protected from being pets, put in zoos, hunted, etc, unless you're licensed by the govt. BUT yeah, unicorns and phoenixes are on that list!

Most of you probably know I have two of them? One came to me under rehabilitation status and has been getting stronger and healed, the other came to me because it was illegally owned in the city. Neither of them are going to be here permanently, just until they're both ready to be released and attention here has calmed down.

But yeah so the person who illegally owned Hyrrokkin pretty much became the "and I took that personally" meme and I've been under civil suits not to mention the shit Roz had to for like a month now among oth. BUT thanks to Regina being brilliant, it's over as of the judge's hearing this morning and got tossed out and they were told to leave the Sanctuary alone.

Going forward, I'm no longer invited to Vorerra-led Coven functions, so get me all the hot gossip?? I'm in pretty good with most of the other covens and no one else has issued me little "you're uninvited" cards yet or anything so there's that?

Sorry this is really long! I wasn't told to not uh, run my mouth about this stuff while it was still in court because I'm biased and I talk a lot. But Regina's great and you guys should hire her for legal stuff if you need it!
