So there's this thing at home called Thanksgiving. It's pretty much commercialized garbage piled on top of centuries of abused indigenous people, but it's also a chance to sit down for a big meal with your friends and family and be grateful for what you have.
I know, ok? I'm not selling this shit very well. Look, Thanksgiving is complicated, but being thankful is fucking easy. So I'm sticking with the latter. The Barns will be hosting a potluck next Thursday at 2pm. I'm putting a sign-up sheet at the market tomorrow so come by if you want in. You don't have to be American. You don't even have to bring food if you can't cook for shit. Soda works. Napkins. Just put your name down and we'll figure it out. If you can't make it to the market tomorrow, you can sign up here.

Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmm, at what point in time is it important to start getting concerned about the number of things that may or may not be following you?
Like I went to get my morning bagel from Glenn and then my morning pie from Bitty, and then my morning frappuccino, followed my morning breakfast burrito, and lastly my morning milkshake and now....

Nothing to worry about!!! :))))))))))))) They're not DOING anything, just hopping along, or shuffling. Just wondering!!!
MORE importantly is our SUPER awesome Halloween celebration at the Barns tomorrow!!! It's going to be SO great you guys, the animals are REALLY excited to see you, we're doing crafts, we have AMAZING fiber arts, SUCH good products, and I'll be giving out candy and compliments because sometimes we need both. :)

I may have overdone it with pumpkin decor on the porch, but I couldn't help but buy every deformed pumpkin that I knew would be otherwise overlooked for the perfectly round ones that had no spots or growths on them. So if you happen to be walking around and see a front porch that is more pumpkin than porch, feel free to appreciate the festive atmosphere.

Y'all are business people. I'm a business person. Now, what might a sweet young thing like myself do to secure some investments to start my own legitimate, going-straight business here? Really, it's an investment not just for me and my artisan, homemade dynamite, but also for y'all, considering if I'm kept busy and moral I won't have as much time to get the funds the old-fashioned, slightly-less-pleasant-for-everyone way. I just need a little boost. Honest.
I'll make a wide range of explosive devices. Maybe even custom orders if you give me some sugar.

We went camping this weekend, managing to surprise Blue at approximately 6am in the morning and not get stabbed for it, which I think says a lot about how lucky Henry and I are. There was adventure, early mornings, forgetting bug spray and having to slather ourselves in a strange natural remedy that stunk to high heaven, but there isn't anyone else I would've rather done it with. Henry and I are unfairly blessed with her and her fierce determination, unwavering loyalty and desire to make the world a better place.
Happy Birthday, Blue Sargent. Love you. (Henry said to tell you not to come "at" (that part was specifically important??) us for the collage of pictures. We couldn't decide so everyone gets to appreciate many.)
