Remember that cinnamon roll from weeks past? Porthos has pulled out all stops and learned how to make homemade croissants, for those of you lucky enough to eat breakfast at the Crossed Quills. And if you aren't, perhaps this will tempt you to it. Make sure to provide the chef with a great deal of praise, as he deserves every bit of it.
As a secondary point of business, I've taken a job at the orphanage near the Quills, and Iam not the best can't carry a tune to save my life which is only technically a l but if someone were more musically inclined and happened to like children, we would be interested in hiring your services on a once-a-week basis to come perform a sing-a-long with the children. I'm happy to compensate you with baked goods or coin, provided you don't make the children cry.

I appreciate that there's both a government (?) facility and a 'welcome to the universe' video, to sort of ease someone into the idea that they've been spirited away to another dimension. Where I come from, it wasn't exactly calm and peaceful but this is a whole other thing - guess I better introduce myself, at least.

I don't have a cute babe to show off, but I'm decent in a kitchen and the Crossed Quills has hired me on, so if you come by tomorrow, you can try some of my stew and fresh bread. I appreciate the lessons and information, along with a timely rescue from the forest upon arrival. I am Aramis of the King's, and a new arrival, as out of sorts as I assume everyone is when they find themselves here?
Next step: procuring appropriate amounts of children's clothing and food. Would anyone be willing to lend me a pair of extra hands? Or knowledge. I have no idea how far I can stretch this money given to me, but I also have coin on hand if anyone is willing to accept french livre. I, unfortunately, had to make a quick exit from the arrival office as my son was in sudden need of a nap and unwilling to cooperate any longer - the rest of my questions had to wait. Apologies, ifyou felt at all wooz you had to hear any of that tantrum. It's been A Morning and Porthos is much better at getting him to calm down.
