SABRINA & NICK
"every attempt to breathe only seemed to heighten the feeling of crushing weight"
THE FOREST | ONGOING (BUT PANIC ATTACK/DEATH TALK)
Getting out of Dorian's hadn't exactly helped the panic attack that was weaving its way through Sabrina. Every attempt to breathe only seemed to heighten the feeling of crushing weight that had settled against her chest and limbs. No amount of telling herself that it wasn't real, that she'd fixed it and were okay would quite ease the rising fear that was intent on pulling her down.
She pushed through the forest, not exactly sure where she had ended up in them. She just needed to get further away, to not see anything from home that was twisting in front of her, looping in with what had happened in that ill-begotten future with what was presently in front of her. Nick wasn't stone. Roz was more than skeletal remains. Dorian's wasn't full of vines with those damn red flowers that seemed to feed off blood. Logically she knew that and yet she couldn't seem to separate fact from fiction as she stumbled along the root lined path, tripping and tumbling down against the mud below.
Sabrina tried to push herself back up, but her ankle was caught in a root, and the drive to keep going quickly died as she let the tears flow feely and sobbed.
