Alexis grinned, one of her patented starshine smiles, bright as a diamond. "It's good, right?" She too sipped on the honey mead, and it was amazing - it just had this way of roooooooolling through your veins, so sublime and serene. The way a cat was, just sunning itself in the window - fitting, since the mead tasted like sunshine in a glass.
She did David a favor and topped off his beverage. "It's always a lot of words at first," she said. Truly, like - she wondered why there was no welcome packet yet. Things newcomers could take with them - like menus for Outlander and local restaurants, business cards, when the support groups met, things like that. The video was great but if you just got here and were shellshocked it was hard to pay attention to.
"But let's see," she hummed, sipping from her glass. "I've been looking after the Apothecary, of course. I also have a PR job with the Department of Outlander Affairs. I hosted a speed dating event - and I've been in two musicals? So. Keeping busy. Café Tropical's here too," she added. "A little piece of Schitt's Creek. The people that also get pulled here are mostly cool so I've made a lot of friends. I'm sure you will too, everyone will love your face," and with that, Alexis pinched David's cheek lightly.
