Dex was sort of on the verge of crashing when he heard the door swing open, standing a little straighter when he recognised the voice that joined the open door. "Crash or die from an overdose of food," he looked down at the pecan pie he was holding and paused. It was probably a bad idea - definitely a bad idea, he was full but it also looked so good. "I had... A pie? I had Pumpkin pie. I had a lot of food just now," he ended on.
"Uh- wait, what are you doing out here?" There was a chirp on the tip of his tongue that he squashed down because Thanksgiving and apparently Nursey had come looking for him, which was... new. He settled on, "Worried I'd vanished or something?" instead, leaning his shoulder on the wall as he watched him. The noise was dulled out here but he could still hear all of the chatting and laughter from the Barns and it just felt... odd. He wasn't the odd one out really in terms of anybody making him feel that way but he was kind of the newcomer here to a group that had basically rebuilt their lives. "I'll be fine, Nurse."
