The Valkyrie rolled her eyes. "Don't be daft. I do not lie." Her time sharpened a little, though it softened again a moment later. She knew Loki well enough to know being snippish wouldn't do much good.
"He felt like he failed you. He was truly upset about losing you. Everyone we lost was painful but he hurt most over you." Then she looked out over the ocean. "We both did."
Then she tossed a stone up, catching it, then repeating the motion. Idle hands needed to be busy. "And yet, we are here. I know not what the Norns are thinking but I am at a loss of what to do about it." A pause, "I am not sure how many books are here, but I know we saved some, if you want them."
