Ever since arriving at Vallo, Luke had begun to wonder if the afterlife would be anything like it. Would they even be allowed into heaven after not crossing over for so long? Did he even want to go to heaven? Maybe. But, not yet. Their career had finally begun and he wasn't ready to give it all up so soon. He was grateful for the fact they were all together and that they got to share a pretty sweet setup in some apartment complex. Actually sharing a space with Julie though, that was a little weird.
Luke spent most of the day wandering through the busy streets of the city, popping over to the forest in between. There was so much to explore and so many new sights that he felt more inspired than ever before. He had been standing in line at some coffee place, watching as someone complained about not having enough pumpkin spice flavor in their coffee and the milk not being non-fat or something. It was like watching television, only live and in person.
Having decided he'd spent more than enough time people watching, Luke popped back over to the studio where he found Julie sitting at the piano, playing the song her mother had written. He was quiet until she finished, only then making his presence known. "I love listening to you sing that, you sound so good, Jules." He spoke up from behind her and then moved in front of her, standing there with a smile. "How was school?"
