It wasn't hard to see that her irritation with him had grown since he walked in the door, but he wasn't going to give up. Dean glanced over at her for a moment and then pulled his gaze away. Each time he looked at her, all he saw was disgust, unable to stop thinking about Adam in Hell, which then lead to him thinking about all the other times he had fucked up, people he had let down, and it was difficult to do anything but read the lines. He was trying too hard to keep his own personal emotions at bay that he couldn't put what he needed to it into the lines.
"You know, it would-" he began to speak, only to cut himself off as he walked away to the other side of the stage. "I guess I just wasn't ready for this. Maybe I should take some more time to myself and practice."
