"Yeah, well, that's part of it, I guess." Dean laughed faintly, a crooked grin on his face as he looked down at her. It was a struggle to not think back to that fateful afternoon which had happened ten years ago for him. The only positive thing about the situation was that the Jo standing in front of him hadn't been there as a witness for his trial with Osiris. He stood there foolishly, still awkward as ever around her.
"So, you, uh, you look good." His arms tightened around the bags in his and his gaze darted around the hallway. He had already done this once before, only to have her disappear on him and he couldn't be sure that it wouldn't happen again. It was different with Sam, or Adam. If they were gone one day, at least he would know they had just went back to their normally scheduled programming, but Jo, she would go back to being dead and- why the fuck was he even thinking about that right now?
"I told my mom that she could meet you next time. I figured it would be easier this way. I mean, you don't-" he paused to take a deep breath and took a step forward. "Are you going to invite me in, or are we going to eat in the hallway?"
