His eyes closed and he inhaled deeply, his face buried in her hair. It felt so good to hold her in his arms again and fell the warmth of her body, hear her voice and it was overwhelming. She said his name and it took everything in him not to break down right there on the street. His arms tightened around her and he worked to calm himself down. She had just shown up and didn't need the extra bullshit to be saddled on her so quickly. As far as he was concerned, she didn't need to know that Sam had arrived without his soul.
"How are you, mom? Did you get the orientation thing? You don't need to stay at those apartments they have. You can stay in the bunker with me and-" he has started to say Adam, but he was a subject that never came up before and she had been gone before Adam returned again. He had no idea how she was going to take that, but he couldn't keep it a secret for too long. "Do you want to go to the diner, maybe? I'm sure we could get some greasy bacon burgers and pie. Or, we can just go back to the bunker. All of your things are there so you don't have to worry about buying anything."
