So the not dragons have their island, which is great. Still kind of glad none of them did fire, because while I love High Dragons I don't like their fire.

On other matters who is good with plants? I have learned I am not, because I keep cursing at the ones I planted in Skyhold's gardens because the shits won't grow. I'm wondering if it's a soil thing (because they're not native), or a Hawke thing (because I lack patience).

Second other matter, usually we run card nights whenever we want but would people want to make that a regular thing, kind of like the karaoke thing that happens? I figure that as long as people are willing to teach their world's card games we can have it open for any of them. We bet among ourselves but we could also make that a regular thing, or have just for fun games every so often. Maybe we could hold competitions like the Fighting Club, and we could designate a portion of the pot to maybe the clinic and Atreus' Sanctuary.

Oh, I love gardening! It does depend on many factors, however, including sunlight and what types of plants are growing in which area.

See, I have not the slightest idea what the hell they need besides water. I figure because Elfroot kind of grows like weeds back home it'd be fine so, who even knows, not me. You're free to come take a look though.

It is a little tricky, to be sure. And some plants don't grow well in proximity, depending. Did it grow everywhere, usually? Or in somewhere like a forest?

I've seen elfroot all over the place, except for maybe the desert so theoretically it should be fine but if it needs something else I have no clue how I'd check.

That's alright, I just thought I could eliminate something right away for you. And, oh, this seems silly but I have to ask, your deserts are dry, hot, and sunny?

Yes, we've got to get those gardens flourishing - I'm not the best at potion craft, but I at least know what they do and having the Thedosian herbs will come in handy anyway.

Aye, I know the basics about potions so if they ever grow that should be looked into because you're right a bit of healing potions could be useful.

Too bad the swamp witch isn't here, she knows more about herbs than any of us. But it'll be a fun project, and so will cards for that matter. Those are good places to donate any proceeds.

Which one, Morrigan? Because if it was Flemeth I'm very much not here you've never heard of me and I'm not taking any more super cursed necklaces.

Aye, just wish I knew what I was doing. Soil can be too acidic? Mother woulda known, and I did not inherit her green thumb. And I figured aye. Most of the stuff for the wedding and the festival doesn't need doing until next month so I got time to do stuff.

Morrigan, yes. If Flemeth showed up we'd all be fucked and not in the pleasant sort of way.

You'll learn, I'm sure, you're quite intelligent. Perhaps reading up on gardening would help too? I can find some books from the library in the city, provided you'll let me help with the wedding and the festival in exchange.

you ok How can you tell? All I know about plants is to stick them in the ground, and that maybe the ground isn't great for them.

You can put some soil in a glass and then pour water into it. If it absorbs the water quickly then its good soil for planting. Usually.

It'll depend on the plant too. Some need more acidic soil.

I shoulda paid more attention to Mother when she did her garden, she's probably telling the Maker she told me to listen.

Elfroot is pretty common where we're from though and I've seen it grow loads of places. It's why I'm just wondering.

Maybe the soil here is different then in your world so it's just not growing correctly?

One time, father and I fought a dragon that made lightning RAIN from the sky. Just lightning, everywhere.

I'm good with plants from home and some from here but I don't know about the ones from your world, I can at least give them nice words of encouragement.

What the fuck even and I thought we had it bad with the occasional Northern Hunter, Gamordan Stormrider, or Vinsomer.

All I know is Elfroot is stupidly common and I was like 'how could I possibly fuck this up' so if that would work, sure?

Most of the time we come across them they're happy to leave us alone because someone's trapped them or something, but Hraezlyr was something else altogether. Are your dragons a lot like the dinosaurs then?

They're a little like animals where giving them some reassuring pep talks helps! Everybody likes to hear how pretty they look and how much potential they have.

Sort of? They generally live in their own area's but they tend to think a lot of land that people live on is also their area (and I mean, they're probably right?), and all High Dragons are females so whenever they don't breed your best bet is to leave them the hell alone unless it can't be avoided (or you find them in a random mine they shouldn't really be in) but when they want to breed they draw drakelings in and start decimating the countryside because they suddenly need to feed their kids and their like dozens of men folk so you gotta eliminate them. Ironically when the Chantry was all 'we're going to call this the Dragon Age' they all must have heard that because they've been showing up a lot. Usually the High Dragons only breed like every hundred years and you get maybe one of those, but it's been different these last few years.

Right. Okay well if it'll work.
