I can’t believe I’m actually asking for help on this publicly but

Recommendations for where I can take some cooking classes? Or someone who has a lot of patience to teach a guy who seriously can’t cook anything? I usually burn everything or it tastes bad. Sure I can live off thawed food and the skills of others but I’d rather not. I just want to make some stupid eggs when I can’t sleep without burning the kitchen down.

Ignis has been teaching me! I think I'm a hopeless cause, but still.

Hopefully I’m not hopeless. I don’t want to become a master chef or anything. But the basics would be nice you know?

Sounds like we have similar starting points. Ask him, maybe he'll teach you some stuff too!

I'll try it. Can't hurt to ask, thanks for the suggestion.

Good luck! Oh, maybe we'll end up in the same lessons and then neither of us will feel inept.

If you're looking to bake like, pies and cakes, Bitty's been teaching me!! And lololololol I'm like the WORST student but he's SO patient and makes like, AMAZING things! Learning how to make eggs is a GREAT goal too!!!

Is baking easier than general cooking? I honestly don’t know. Maybe baking can be phase two. The eggs started out ok then I think I let them cook too long. They’re definitely not supposed to be so brown.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. In some ways it's easier? Because it's really specific, you know? So you're relying on the recipe and if you can be exact, then you'll probably do great!! Whereas like with cooking you can kind of improvise? Which is great!! But also if you're just learning it might he hard.

Either way, both have their perks! :))))))

I've been picking up some stuff doing videos for the resort for Ignis. They're all up on the instagram ( link! )

Hadn't even thought about using videos. I still think I should have some hands on supervision but this is a good start, thanks.

There's lots of other videos around too. Youtube and all. I would offer but I would suck at teaching.

Low heat, melt some butter in there first and keep pushing them around the pan. You'll get decent scrambled every time.

Butter, huh? Didn't even think of something like that. Thanks for the tip.

Yeah, no worries. I had to cook for myself a lot, you end up picking it up when you need to.

I could help, if you want. I'm pretty decent at it.

I'm still convinced it's something to do with Ifrit. That's why you always burn everything.

I need all the help I can get.

Could be. I do find myself staring at the burner for a minute longer than I probably need to every time I turn it on.
