"That's very kind of you," Caduceus returned the smile, genuinely touched by her offer. "I have to clarify, I'm not...I'm not really a cow. My people just...uh. We're giant-kin. I suppose it's some odd divergence of genetics. Perhaps some cross breeding way back with Minotaurs."
He chuckled. "You're getting your allowance of human brain from somewhere, I take it?" Caduceus had spoken to a lot of people about a lot of things. And on the grand scale, the method of acquiring body parts was rather low down. He should be more concerned than he was about that. "How often do you need to eat? Is it only human brains? What do you suppose makes the difference between human and say, a pig brain?"
The tea was poured and he handed over a cup, gesturing to the usual tea accoutrements that he had on the tray with the pot. "You managed to get a job with your friend? Did you used to eat your patients?" His tone wasn't accusatory at all, just curious. No one needed a brain once they were dead.
