This was awkward. Really awkward. There was just no way around the feeling. The two of them had only met a couple of times and neither of those times had really ended too great. They were still strangers. What Adam knew about Dean and Sam he had learned from the angels who had resurrected him, a few brief conversations, and Michael. While it didn't actually paint a very pretty picture of his older brothers he was able to infer a few things from what he had learned. He'd been smart enough to figure out that, maybe, his brothers weren't the best people but they were good people who always tried to be on the right side of things.
He didn't hate them. He wasn't sure he could forgive being left in Hell for that long so easily but he didn't hate Dean for it. The eldest Winchester had apologized and that meant something. It was enough for Adam to decide that he would like to get to know Dean better and try and build some form of a relationship. Maybe they'd never be close but they didn't have to be strangers. Even with that on his mind, however, the hug was still unexpected. A little awkward. Adam returned it because he understood it had to be just as awkward for Dean. He wasn't about to leave his brother hanging.
"I... don't know if this Michael's the same." He said, frowning a little. They hadn't spent the night in a hotel before the Winchesters had captured them. If he had to guess, he would assume that he was. Michael had often lamented the clothing that Adam preferred. Adam had no intention of pleasing him and dressing like the other angels. If Michael wanted a suit he could get a new vessel. "But, yeah, this isn't as nice as bunker but it's completely different from the last place I remember you staying in."
He frowned a little at the question about cooking. He didn't need to eat or sleep because of Michael. He indulged in a few of these things because he liked the way things tasted and sleep was nice. It also helped him feel normal. He needed that more than he wanted to admit. "Since getting back I've done a lot of take out but... I can cook. Mom was a nurse. She wasn't home a lot so I had to learn to provide for myself when she couldn't be there."
