Chloe nodded as she listened to what he had to say about how time moved differently in Hell. Of course, that made sense, but she just never expected it to have been that long for him. She was glad, though, that it didn't appear his time below had effected him negatively. It had been her main concern upon arriving and finding out he was here.
"I know, Lucifer, I understand." Her gaze dropped to their hands, and she couldn't help but smile over how delicately he touched her. "At first, I was kind of upset, angry even. It wasn't necessarily directed towards you, but your leaving triggered it, I guess?" She squeezed his hand in return and lifted her gaze to meet his once again. "I was angry with Eve, Maze, myself, those stupid demons, and-" her eyes closed, and she paused to take in a deep breath. "At the end of the day, it's my fault. If I had just believed you from the start and didn't run away to Italy, that probably would have never happened."
Looking back on things, there was so much she regretted and things she wished she could have done differently. But, there were no do-overs in life. At least, not that she knew of. "I know you left to protect us, and I'm sorry that had to happen in the first place."
