"It isn't your fault," he said, with a slight roll of his eyes. He'd never understand why humans apologized for things like that, but he'd lived among them long enough that he knew that was the way they acted, annoying or not.
"Yes, I figured so. And there are some places that have food that is adequate for our needs." At home, he mostly hunted for his food, but he didn't think that October would be terribly fond of that. And he hadn't found the good hunting places here yet.
