Toby couldn’t help but crack a smile at his reaction to her sarcasm. That was short lived though. When he told her he was alone, more alone than she even thought, she frowned. “I’m sorry,” Toby said seriously. No Cait Sidhe. No anything. Tybalt outside of the fae realm? It just seemed…weird. She didn’t usually apologize when things weren’t her fault, but it seemed apt at the moment.
She took another sip of her coffee while he asked his question. It was one she hadn’t been expecting it. Eat with Tybalt? That was new. But this was all new. “Actually, that’s a great idea. I haven’t seen anything and you have, plus we have some catching up to do.” Or more like, she had questions. Lots of them.
She had some money, at least. She was going to have to get a job here and Oberon, she hoped it wasn’t another grocery store.
