Neutralized didn't sound like completely defeated, but Archie had seen enough to know he could trust them even with the scary stuff. Half the things they had to deal with just because of their magic went over his head, but he was trying his best to learn where he could.
"Back home, you guys didn't really hide it," Archie explained. "I mean, Brina didn't brag about it either, but it wasn't a secret. I guess it just never really happened in Riverdale at all enough to matter before...well, Jughead." Because if his best friend hadn't begged Sabrina to bring his dog back, most of it wouldn't have happened, but Archie didn't blame either of them. Life was far too short to hold grudges about things that were out of his control.
"So Vallo's magic is different from back home? Does it...I don't know if interfere is the right word, but does it mess with your magic at all?"
