There was nothing either of them could do about the boy's past at the moment, Obi-Wan could only hope he'd be able to change things when he returned to his own time. The training grounds weren't exactly made for quiet meditation, but a Jedi ought to be able to meditate anywhere in order to better attune to the will of the Force.
