She gave a small laugh at Thomas' smile and nodded, "definitely spent too much time with me," she teased gently, "and at the same time, not nearly enough." Maybe they could change that here, though? Teresa had to hope that this was some kind of Safe Haven of their own, or why would she be here at all? "It's especially not good when you took the bullet for me," she said, which was the reason that she needed to know for herself that Thomas was okay.
"You'd have started having problems by now, if you were going to," Teresa told him as she cleansed the wound as gently as she was able and finished up by dressing the wounds with clean dressings. "Given your tendency to throw yourself off high buildings and dive in front of bullets, I'm a little surprised you're still here too," she said with a smile as she sat back and looked up at him. "Glad you are, though," Teresa said, putting her palm to his cheek tenderly. "Tell me if anything changes and if you start feeling sick? Right away," she told him.
