[FILTERED TO DEFENSE TEAMS/RESERVES/TECH/RESEARCH]

It's that time again. Don't make any plans for the 15th. This one is going to take some pre-planning and it involves everyone in Defense.

The idea is loosely based on these races. Please note the safety gear. You will need it.

Your teams will have the next two weeks to design and build 1-3 themed bikes that can carry your entire team through an obstacle course. No one can be on a solo bicycle. You must work as a team. The more people on one bike, the higher your difficulty score. The more work put into your theme, costumes, and general enthusiam, the higher your starting score.

The winning team gets $500 a piece and a commendation on their record that can be used to request a permanent pay increase or to get your pet project approved. If none of this moves you, we can talk about some other options.

There are 28 of us, so I divided us into four teams.

Materials should be recycled whenever possible and anything crucial or safety related can be reimbursed from our discretionary fund. Within reason. Don't get crazy out there, guys. This is mostly for fun and to work on creative problem solving as a team. Let me know if you have any questions. And get to work.

Oh and I guess while I have you here I should mention Del is the new coordinator for team B. Hopefully the responsibility will keep his hotheadedness to a minimum. Carol is the new coordinator for Team A but I know I don't have to warn you about her.
