Dom saw the smile fade but wasn't sure whether it was her comment or something else.
"The father, Mac, and I have been involved on and off since we were schoolchildren but were never able to quit each other. When I found out I was pregnant we got engaged." She'd hadn't been willing see what was right in front of her face the entire time until circumstances forced her. The fact that it had taken her getting hurt and being on painkillers along with an owl post mixup of epic proportions just made her think it had been fate taking things in hand.
Of course now she was here while Mac and the rest of her people were back home so fate had a cruel sense of humor.
PJ's question snapped her out of her momentary blue streak and she laughed. "No, it's all right. I'd rather have people be direct and I don't mind talking about it. I've decided I want to be surprised so I don't know." She looked down at her stomach with a loving smile and gave it a little rub. It was hard to stop doing that when she was thinking of her children, especially since she'd been able to feel them move. "but it would be nice if it were one of each. I'm still trying to decide the names.
