Despite the best efforts of fate, Spring mead is out at Asynja. If you like floral flavors, good news. We have Hibiscus, Rose, and Lavender brewed to human strength, and several barrels of Lavender brewed to knock gods off their feet. Enjoy.

If I disappeared, would you take over the meadery, close it, or sell it?

There's nothing to panic about.

Except that I've lost most of the people I love to disappearances already, and I'd really like to not add you to that list.

I would take over and keep it running myself, I think. It meant a lot to James and Torunn.

Everybody goes eventually, by some method or another. I'm not planning on disappearing, just thinking about it. Considering various types of mortality is inevitable at my age.

I guess that's true. I'll take care of the Meadery. Is there anything else you would want me to do, if that happened?

Find homes for the plants. You don't have to take them all, but I'd rather they didn't all dry out and die in an abandoned house.

Thanks. You're a good kid.

You're a good dad.

I hope you know this means I'm hugging you for a full two minutes tonight, and you better not complain.

No I'm
All right, if you insist. I doubt if you last the full two minutes anyway. A minute is always longer than people think it is.

Those flavors sound like you've been brewing tea instead of mead. They're interesting.

Thor always liked having a few seasonal things to go with the standards. The rose is a little too much like drinking perfume for me, but I like the other two.

Have any suggestions for autumn? We'll need to start brewing for it soon.

I'll have to try. I'm not entirely a fan of floral anything, but I'm curious enough.

My experience with autumnal flavors is apple or pumpkin. Pumpkin tends to be controversial in the sense that people can be irritating and not let others enjoy things, and instead choose to cast judgment with remarks they deem 'original.' Make sure to add pumpkin.

Try the hibiscus. It tastes less like flowers than the other two, despite also being a flower.

Good idea. We can call the flavor Pumpkin Spite.

I'll stop by for a taste with or without the crew. It's more quiet if it's just me.

I'm not really into florals BUT I'll at least give them a shot. Please don't hold it against me if my face does a thing that faces do when they eat a rose.

These weren't my idea. They started aging six months ago.

I'll ask you the same thing I asked Gamora, though: suggestions for fall flavors? We'll have to start brewing them soon.

Then I'll allow it.

Cinnamon peach. Big fan of apple cider so apple mead? Ginger clove? Feels cozy.

Cinnamon peach sounds good. I wouldn't have thought of that. I did consider apple, but was slightly concerned it might be overdone. Ginger in mead also seems like an intriguing possibility. It would go well with Gamora's Pumpkin Spite.

I'll take "steps forward" over the "mysterious nothing" we've been dealing with, and Vallo's justice system seems a little more geared toward actual justice than the one I grew up with.

Agreed. On the steps forward that is. Did your world have an ineffective government or just too much crime to control?
