Chocobro Wedding

CHOCOBRO WEDDING

CEREMONY & RECEPTION

As guests arrive at the docks of Galdin Quay, they are brought to a large yacht anchored off of the shore. Early cocktails and hors d'oeuvres are served until the ceremony start time, and people are welcome to mingle on the large deck of the boat. The yacht itself is the epitome of luxury, large and glamorous, and feels stable underfoot if any guests are worried about seasickness. (There are potions available for that, just in case!) Everything is draped in black and gold, no expense spared.

The ceremony is certainly unique - it's not often you see four men all marrying each other, so navigating that takes a little extra time as all of the grooms exchange rings with each other. There's no religious aspect to the ceremony, at least, but the vows are all hand-written and sure to bring out the tears. The kissing does get a little out of hand but they're not sorry.

The reception to follow has a fully catered dinner provided, along with a full open bar and dessert table. There's time for toasts, speeches, and tears. A full dance floor and DJ are in a wide open room following dinner, so you can drink and be truly embarrassing in front of your date. To complete the evening, there will be a fireworks show over the water for everyone to enjoy. Drink a little too much? Don't worry, there are designated teleporters on hand to return you safely to your home.

Pretty much anyone who knows any of them was invited! So most of the Outlanders. No need to ask permission if you want an excuse to dress up and eat fancy food and drink champagne on a boat.

What'd you wear? Did you get drunk and need help getting home? Pls don't fall off the boat but if you do there are many attendants ready and capable of saving you. Dance and drink and eat and have a good time~

Ignis is obviously there! In full black tuxedo finery with gold cuffs, probably similar to this. He looks more relaxed than he's looked in 3 months y'all. His vows were hand written and while they encompassed all three on the whole, he also had a heartfelt line for Noct, Gladio, and Prompto all separately. And got a lil teary. This isn't something they could've had at home so it's EMOTIONAL and Iggy is VERY EMOTIONAL today. But also dancing a lot, when he isn't mingling and being uncharacteristically extroverted! He'll be pleasantly buzzed most of the evening but not drunk, just feeling a little happy 🥰

I will be back with the others of mine that came later!

	Eli & Atreus were both there! Eli is in this little number (boots and all, from his pirate costume) and will be attending with Del & Cayden! Atreus is with Lance and back to being Atreus! 	I'm starting with the obvious one who was there which is Kaitlyn. She wore this cute thing, gave the grooms a hug (with consent of course), wished them well, probably got them an awesome gift (whatever y'all want it to be). She definitely got drunk but did not fall off the boat. Would be open to dancing with anyone and everyone! (Reply to this) (Parent)

Gladio was there of course! He was dressed in a black tux, the lapel of the jacket had a subtle gold pattern threaded through it. Gold cuff-links and watch tied it together. His vows are tucked into his pocket and he wrote out four copies. The one he read, that spoke collectively to Ignis, Prom and Noct as a group and a bit individually. And then three copies were also written out for each of them respectively with the individual parts expanded on (he figured the guests probably didn't want to sit through the 20 minute version).

He is ridiculously happy and will be tearing up during the ceremony. He is very aware this is not something they would ever have at home and is living it up here.

He'll try to speak to everyone who came and give a very heartfelt thank you for being a part of it all. Will be dancing with his husbands lots and whoever else wanted a dance. Will definitely be losing the jacket and bowtie at some point.

tl'dr he loves everyone.

Teddy works for Iggy and would have very much wanted to come to celebrate! He likes weddings a lot and this is a fancier one, so he dressed the part with Billy on his arm. He would have greatly enjoyed the food, but probably didn't drink a whole lot. Danced with his husboyfriend (that he's just relieved is back to being his Billy) a fair amount, definitely gave congratulations and such to the grooms, and just had a good time overall!

I'm unsure if I had others go, but will be back once conferring!

Everyone will see Noct smile more than ever today. He still looks like his gothy self with regards to a tux but there are gold accents on shoes and thin gold stripes down the sides of his pants. His vows are memorized because he thought that would impress Ignis but he scribbled a few things on the inside of his wrist just in case (sorry whichever of you gets ink on you eventually). He'll remind everyone of a proper king with how well-spoken he can be but it all goes wobbly when his emotions start to take over. Eventually he'll get tipsy on champagne so he's not as aware of his own stupid face and then he'll cling to each of them in turn like a drunk koala. He'll also spend time with his brother and his niece (and hopefully his brother in law who doesn't know he's his brother in law?? lmao) and he'll find Keith and Abi and Kaitlyn and hang out with each of them too.

Shiro will be there with Keith, in a white suit that he's fond of. He loves a wedding and he's happy to be back to himself to appreciate this. He'll be embarrassing with Keith as usual but also just soft. (Kipp might be home with grandad? No pressure Meghan if you want to get Tex out to a nice wedding, Kipp can wear a cute little suit and be danced with!)

Cayden will also be there with Eli and Del, wearing a suit like this. He probably clashes horribly with the decor but he's a faerie ok. This is his second mortal wedding I think so he's less shocked by the lack of nakedness and quietly appreciative of the devoted polyamory. He'll be distracted by Eli's shirtlessness and Del's body heat but he's also a good wedding guest and will compliment the grooms and make small talk with everyone.

Sanji will be there (alone? with Zoro?? I'll let Dhirajba decide lol). He likes Ignis and wants to sample another broad spread of food from this world so this is an easy call. He looks sharp in a purple suit because he doesn't actually know how to be subtle.

Talcott: came with Matthew. He's dressed sharp in a black suit with a grey shirt, actually attempted to make his hair not look like a disaster. He's super happy for the four and will have a nice gift, will be chatting with the people he knows, eating food and letting Matthew drag him into dancing.

Lance: is there with Atreus. Always loves a good wedding. All the dancing with his friends and some slow ones with Atreus, will chat up whoever, etc!

Nyx: came with Bucky, is dressed also in black (there's a theme okay), will find a quiet moment to pull Noctis and have some words. Good words. Might tear up a little during it all, no one saw anything. Just generally very happy for them, enjoying the night.

Unfortunately, Kellach does not do well on boats and as much as he'd like to be there, his anxiety gets the better of him. Instead he sends along a message to congratulate the grooms as well as his deepest regrets hat he cannot be there. He also sense along a wedding present:

An ornate handcrafted metal scabbard with four highly detailed ornate chocobos, each crafted from a metal that represents each of the grooms. The chocobos are surrounded by various ornate decorations, also of the similar metals intermingled among each other (It's very fancy!). On the back are all their initials and the date of the wedding.

I'll comment in a little with what my others are doing, but I wanted to get this out first!

HELLO. Del came with Eli and Cayden because he HOVERS, he FOLLOWS, he wants to attend a wedding on a BOAT. His clothing attire is, uh, mostly wedding-appropriate. He wore dress pants and a suit jacket (which he will lose at some point during the night because it's hot) but most importantly he wore his very shiny, very loud shirt. He did not touch alcohol because he likes to remain upright, and he was 👀 at the fireworks. Did he dance? Yes. Was he friendly with the grooms? Also, yes. Did he maybe think about taking one of the gold centerpieces? DEFINITELY YES, but he did not because you don't steal from weddings. Bad luck or something.

Prompto was there of course! He wore this vest under a black tux jacket/pants, with a some pops of gold to match his fellow grooms. He was teary eyed and crying happy tears on and off all day because he's just so happy. He had a disposal camera on him that may or may not get confiscated and he had written his vows over and over and was on the fourth of version of them, but ended up tossing them away last second and winging it because the felt more like him. He spoke of their journey, the good and bad, and about how he couldn't imagine his life without any of them. And touched on each individual and why he was there standing before each man. There was a line about how he was glad they kept choosing to go into the darkness together, because he knew that they would reach the light as one on the other side (as the sun set while they were exchanging vows).

There was snot. He had to ask for a tissue.

He partied HARD at the reception and looked to dance with all his loved ones, especially his husbands. He also drank a little and probably had to be carried to bed.

Keith matched Shiro and Kipp in their white suits. They were all stupidly cute. He stayed sober to keep an eye on Kipp who is prone to the zoomies and also because he wants to make sure Shiro gets a chance to drink fruity drinks with umbrellas if he wants. He danced with his husband but also with Noct and other friends. The Chocobros got a whiskey and wine club subscription for a year from them.

Bucky showed up in a simple black suit. Lucy was strapped to his chest most of the night but might have danced a song or two with Nyx. The dancing might have triggered a memory of their own wedding and later, he got a quiet moment with Noct to let him know they should go fishing like they used to because he's starting to get more than just impressions of people.

Zoro tagged along when he found out there would be booze at this thing. He dressed in the suit that he bought to look like Sanji during Halloween and wallflower. Eyes kept going to a certain cook throughout the evening.

You know who loves love and weddings? Matthew Lynch. He did not get the black memo I'm so sorry and I'm also sorry to Talcott for his terrible, carefree dancing style, your boyfriend has no sense of shame or rhythm. But Matthew is also one to have never met a stranger so if anyone needs an excuse to dance or just someone to hang out with, give him a wave!

Billy came with his forever date Teddy and has no sense of fashion but does have a black suit so he at least fit with the theme! He's still a little baffled about what happened this past week but will put it all aside in favor of a super nice wedding and dancing with Teddy in a tux.

Adora was there with Catra! She's very happy for all her teammates and made sure to give them all hugs at some point in time. She got brave and had one singular drink, and since she never works on her tolerance, she got a little silly because she's the lightest of lightweights. She's mostly just a giggly mess, but she will challenge any man who approaches her to arm wrestling competitions.

Kate was also there because she's buddies with Prompto and familiar with the boys via Defense! Glad to see Prompto back to himself and very happy for him.

Laurence was obviously here, with Lan Xichenand possibly a human-shaped Temeraire? He was dressed in a nice suit and was so, so happy to finally see these four wed, and was beyond happy that the AU had ended in time. He would've congratulated them all, and probably got something nice for Iggy's kitchen as a wedding present.

He would've danced and enjoyed himself.

I'm so sorry this is late! I did that thing where you think about your reply to something, and then your brain checks it off as Done, and only remembered this morning to ACTUALLY do it.

ANYWAY.

Abi was there, and she was glad she could reuse her nice black dress for this! She did shimmery gold eyeshadow to keep with the theme. She did not bring a date, but she had a great time dancing with her friends. She definitely teared up during the vows, and the overdone kissing made her laugh. She had just enough champagne to get pleasantly tipsy, but nothing she couldn't easily walk off. She made sure to congratulate each of the guys and tell them how very happy she is for all of them.

Lan Xichen was in attendance on William Laurence's arm, wearing a set of robes with long formal sleeves that sweep the floor. He did not drink, but he had a fantastic time chatting with other guests and dancing. He gave his fondest felicitations to all the grooms, and for a gift, he has a very fine set of custom chopsticks (12 place settings) for them. (It's a traditional Chinese wedding gift, because the word for chopsticks sounds like the word for happiness.)
