The onset of the full moon was making Scott restless and he was itching to get done with school and get out into the woods. As tempting as it was, he wasn't sure enough of the territories to risk going out alone and so quickly shot a text to Cora. Want to run in the woods tonight? If she wasn't into the idea, he'd figure out where Stiles was and drag him along, perhaps, or see if Kate wanted to join him. Either way, he needed to burn off the excess energy fizzing away beneath the surface. It didn't take more than a moment for his phone to ping and Cora told him where they should meet. He'd wanted to talk to Cora properly for a while. Face to face, so he could, perhaps, see past the wall she sometimes put up and see how she was really coping with this place. Even for him and Stiles, who were, relatively speaking, dealing well with the change it still got tough. Missing home and their parents was rough, but they at least had each other for support. As Scott drove his motorcycle to the meeting point he wondered if Cora thought she could ever really be happy here and realised he had no idea how to bring it up. He would just have to wing it, he thought as he pulled his bike in and parked up. Cora was already there and he gave a small wave as he removed his helmet and stashed it. "I figured you might be in the mood for this too," Scott said with a smile of greeting. "I don't know if I'll ever get used to how restless I get when the full moon comes around," but Cora knew no different. "How's your day been?" he asked as he took a deep breath of the earthy scents of the forest at night. |
