3-night camping experience Dino Island! Two nights in a secure bunker in the middle of the woods, and one night in a treehouse overlooking a giant open grazing area. Everyone was asked to bring only one bag, with a sleeping bag/blankets and a pillow, toiletries, a few changes of clothing, and appropriate footwear (tennis shoes at the very least, hiking boots preferred).

The secure bunker has running water, working fans, two bathrooms, and a generator. You can even use and charge your phones there, but the cell service is spotty at best. Everyone will be sleeping in bunk beds that are plain but clean and in one large open bunk room.

The treehouse is a little more... wild. It's got various rooms, but no running water, no electricity, and no beds. You'll be sleeping on a wooden floor. But the views are amazing, with dinosaurs running by, grazing, making noise, and even coming right up to the edge of the outpost.

✦ Do not feed the dinosaurs unsupervised.

✦ Don't taunt the dinosaurs.
✦ Please don't go looking for a T-Rex. Or try to fight a T-Rex. Or race a T-Rex.
✦ Just leave the T-Rex alone, she's earned her retirement.
✦ The dinosaurs are not to be removed from the island. Seriously, guys.

The day starts off fairly uneventful! Everyone arrives in the afternoon and gets to see the sights of the main landing area of Jurassic World - partially destroyed and overgrown. From there, they'll hike for ONE HOUR out to the bunker in the woods, and they won't come across anything too dangerous. The group will see a herd of Stegosaurus on the way, and Atreus will tell everyone some facts about them - such as apparently the stegosaurus had one of the smallest dinosaur brains.

When they get to the main bunker, everyone will be given a little time to settle in and they'll get to pick their bunks, check in on the network, take pics, look around the outside camp a little. After a half hour or so of rest and unpacking, it's exploring time! For a few hours they'll explore and be led around the forest and taught about what dinosaurs normally move through the area. Nothing particularly eventful happens and they make it back to camp.

Dinner break! There's a campfire and a couple of different food options, and s'mores. As they're finishing up dinner, the group will hear a dinosaur crying out nearby. An Ankylosaurus will be laying down nearby, making a large amount of noise. It isn't feeling well, and Atreus will send (ANGRBODA + TWO VOLUNTEERS) out to locate certain herbs and supplies. As a joint effort, they'll treat the dino buddy and by the middle of the night, he'll feel better and wander off. If you want to stay up with Atreus and stick near the campfire until the dino buddy is gone, you can, but after that, it's up to bed.

A full, eventful day! The bunker is underground, so no light to wake you all up. But there's breakfast! OJ, hot coffee, or water. They'll head out after everyone's eaten and ready to go, and immediately come upon a large herd of Compsognathus outside of the camp, running through. They're small enough that they can make it through the wards, so (MIKE WHEELER & KATOU YUE) to herd them in the right direction. You might get nipped once or twice for your help.

Then it's a few hours of exploring, learning, identifying dinosaur poop, taking pictures, seeing live dinosaurs and probably getting bit by a lot of mosquitos! A lunch break with sack lunches as they find a peaceful river (where there's a family of dracorex minding their own business and drinking peacefully) to chill on.

Following lunch, there will be a flash thunderstorm, and (KIR) spots a small shelter they can all hide in. Everyone rides out the storm, but your shoes and stuff are gonna get wet.

Once the rain has mostly passed, it's back to the bunker to dry off and settle in around a fire. (DUSTIN + ONE VOLUNTEER) to get distracted and a little lost on the way back, separated from the group! Either you can find your way back within twenty minutes or so or one of the leaders will find you. Volunteer's choice! Once the group is back together, dinner follows. It's a cool, humid night, with lots of nature sounds, and sometime later, as the fire is going down and the sun is gone, anyone still outside will hear the fierce roar of something big nearby.

Nobody gets eaten. (yet)

Early morning wakeup, as there's a long hike ahead. Everyone gets instructed to pack up your stuff and eat breakfast, then you're off to the treehouse camp! It's a TWO-HOUR HIKE, with lots of stops and watching for dinosaurs.

But it's all made worth it, as the group hits the edge of the forest, right on a family of brachiosaurus, including FIVE freshly hatched babies. Mama is nearby, and stuck in a pickle - or rather a mud pit. The group will get to figure out how to help her out, and she will be very greatful for the assistance. (You can pet and feed the babies with nearby leaves, too.)

After the baby dino interlude, the treehouse is in sight, and so are a few more herds of sauropods. (ELEVEN) to catch a wayward Yrsa as she mimic shifts into a baby dinosaur and attempts to run from the group. You catch her and can carry her for a little ways if you want. When you guys get up to the treehouse, there will be a few just within reach, if you want to give them a little pat. Everyone has lunch, gets settled in, pick your spot on the ground and make your bed, get any mud off your clothes or shoes if you helped out with the mama brachiosaurus, take a little break. You can either choose to stay back for the rest of the night or go out exploring (at least one leader will be staying behind for those that want a break). More facts, free time, getting to wander with your friends in a relatively safe and open area.

That is, until a herd of gallimimus come running through the open area nearby, and are uh, interrupted by Rexy, who appreciates the early dinner. She has a snack, and doesn't spot the nearby visitors from their vantage point. You're safe, for now.

There's one last dinner, but for the campers, not for Rexy, who is just living her life and wanders off somewhere to explore. If you stay up late and watch through the open windows of the treehouse, you might see her shadow once or twice more as she passes through. The direct area around the camp (and the outhouse) are warded and safe, but (ADAINE) to trip and fall on the way out to the outhouse at night, and end up with a sprained ankle.

Early early morning wakeup, as there's no curtains in the treehouse and the sun rises right to your face. From here, it's an hour hike (sprained ankle volunteer will get treated by leaders and carried if it's really bad) to the waypoint. Then it's time to head back home :( But everyone gets this shirt as a thank you gift for coming!
