it's a toga party!

No, seriously, it's a toga party brought to you by Blue Sargent and Richard Campbell Gansey III.

Whether you're celebrating the glass half empty ("beware the Ides fo March") or glass half full (Henry Cheng's birthday), all are invited to a party at 7:00pm on the top floor of Monmouth Manufacturing in downtown Vallo. Your only requirement is you must wear a toga, and after much deliberation and lobbying for personal freedoms, wearing anything under the toga is optional.

If you don't have a sheet or yards of fabric to craft your own "historically appropriate" garb, Blue Sargent and co. is on deck to assist, though beggars can't be choosers and some of the sheets for the costume are more colorful than others. Also, some of the people pinning the toga are better at it than others (choose at your own risk.)

There's music (so much Madonna, Henry's favorite, though maybe not Caesar's). There are small bites on sticks and little plastic swords, Caesar salad for ambiance, and charcuterie, fruits, and various desserts. There is also a dinner plate full of hot wings reserved for Ronan Lynch, though if you ask nicely he might share. This is a dry party, but there are various sparkling drinks to give off the bacchanalia-esque illusion.

Gansey purchased second-hand Roman-style chaises for lounging appropriately, and if you're feeling so inclined, a poor excuse for an effigy of Caesar is set up in another corner of the space, for stabbing purposes. Because stabbing can be cathartic.

If you're going to get into character or be super nerdy, a space in the back is set up to conduct your forums. And if you want to challenge a few people to a game of pool, Gansey has unearthed it for just the occasion.

Gansey is co-host! He goes with a simple one shoulder white toga - he's been told it's a crime to cover up both shoulders in such a case. He's very good at pinning them now and is on hand to help anyone that needs it!

He'll be outgoing and chatty and a good host, striking up conversations, telling stories about the ancient Romans, and giving out little trivia fun facts about Caesar and Henry 😂

He also knows all of the Madonna songs by this point, don't @ him.

Him and Blue at some point will be recreatingthis scene on the stairs so feel free to throw soft bread them or something.

Matthew Lynch loves a party, y'all. It doesn't matter what the theme is, there's snacks (with plastic swords as skewers, thank you Talcott), there's music (he helped craft the playlist of some real bangers aka Madonna some Lady Gaga, basically, anything you can dance to), there are friends (he loves you all), like. Parties are Matthew's THING. If they are not your thing and you came and were a little worried, that's okay, you know who was there for you?

He dances terribly but has literally no sense of self-consciousness, he talked to everyone, he wore this as a toga (thank you Blue for pinning it because we all know THAT was never going to happen), happy birthday Henry!!! And sorry you were stabbed, Caesar!!!

Essek was in attendence, because he cannot say no to Blue about anything ever. Also, he was curious about an event that required you wearing a bedsheet? Very intriguing. That said, he definitely did not come wearing one lol, so feel free to dress him in whatever. I wouldn't say that he stayed wildly long because he is himself and will turn into a pumpkin, but he did make an appearance, ate some food, chatted, and then peaced.

Adaine also would have gone, I want to say? Between open invite and Matthew? She definitely just grabbed the sheet off her bed, so I want to say it's just plain and dark blue. She's a little socially awkward and wallflowers like the best of them, but she was glad to be around people, ate food, bobbed to music, all the very important things!

Talcott was there! He probably got Ignis to do his toga so it was immaculate, thanks. Even though it was this avacado pattern. He would have chatted and ate food, danced if his friends made him. Despite having no cultural reference for this he's having fun lol.

Gladio maybe came with his boyfriends. Would have gone white and short for his toga, he'll make up for Ignis' henley with the low cut of his. Ate some food, mingled, made his boyfriends dance.

Lance came with at least Atreus and Keith/Shiro! Would have gone classic white for his toga and be paranoid all night of spilling something on it. But other than that enjoyed the night and chatted, danced.

	Lestat would attend, but he wouldn't show up until after sunset. He wore a (relatively) historically accurate tunic & toga combo with sandals because if you're gonna do it, might as well do it right. and he wouldn't be Lestat if his wasn't purple because well, that was the fanciest back then wasn't it? For my others!

Sydney came - purple toga, teal wig. Would have dragged Rogier! She harassed Blue about her nerdy AF boyfriend. She probably didn't dance, harassed her space buds, and stole some of Ronan's wings for sure.

Dream came (with Kenzi!) but not in a toga. You'll have to put a black sheet on him, Blue. He's very good at being a wallflower and that's what he did. Harass him.

Atreus is there with Lance! His toga is revealing to show off as many tattoos as he can get away with. He's big on pda and was happy to love on Lance in a child free environment 😂

Iggy is there with his fam! He wore a Henley and slacks under his pristine white and black toga. Sorry. It has very nice folds and is tailored well cause he's Iggy (with bonus skull necklace) . At some point he threw a knife at the effigy from far away and hit it dead on just to either show off for his bfs or cause he wanted to see if he could do it.

	Late but Kenzi came with Dream! And had Bo tag along because #besties and such. She wore a black toga to goth it up some, and boots. She wishes there was actual booze but was happy with the fancy mocktails going. (Reply to this) (Parent)

Ronan was there obvs. He wore a black sheet over black jeans. Adam tied his robe to show off his tattoos to maximum impact. He is NOT sharing his wings (that’s a lie, there’s at least like 5 people who’d just have to look at them and he’d be like SIGH just take one). He threw one of the bones at Blue & Gansey on the stairs cause they’re embarrassing and he loves them so much it’s annoying. He’s mostly here to shoot pool and flash his boobs at Adam, but he’ll have a good time. (He also says feel free to sneak in alcohol. He’s a pretty good place about all that 4 years down the road and he can handle it.)

Noct came with his boyfriends and wore this koi fish sheet for a toga. He doesn’t get this party AT ALL but he’ll warp throw a few daggers at the effigy, shoot pool, and make eyes at his boyfriends so that’s a pretty good night in his book.

Surit came with Tennal in a historically accurate toga down to the footwear. He’s awkward at parties and will probably end up talking to Gansey about history and any DOA people he sees about work until Tennal makes him dance or something. He almost wishes there were shots. ALMOST. (He likes the music tho.)

Shiro came with Keith and their friends. He wore something along these lines and looked pretty cool with his metal arm. He dances like a dork but he’ll do it anyway and make sure Keith does too. Probably ends up watching Keith stab the effigy like it’s a competition??
