She'd never imagined it to be so complex, or that the whole 'eye of newt' ting might actually have some form of truth behind it. She wasn't sure why it surprised her, except that it did. "Right. But can you make something do something against it's nature?" she realized that was hardly explained anything, but now she'd found a thread and true to her nature she'd see where it lead. Taking the cop out of the woman wasn't always as easy as it sounded. "Say for instance you take a dagger and tell it to be a shield. You bespell it the same as a shield and everything. Would it be a shield?" that seemed like it might be a contrary thing. It felt, to her, that a thing had to at least be the same thing as what you willed it to be.
"And God help you if they think management needs to get involved." She shrugged then, "I'm not sure how that was worked out. I wasn't invited to that meeting." It rankled a bit, how involved Marcone was with everything. Without his funds, the Society would be nowhere, but she still hated it. At his comment she shot him a look "I'm always careful." He was right though she did want to train with them. Her little adventure with Nicodemus had proven it's need.
