She glanced at him as he explained it all. To her it had always come across more of a 'point and fire happens' sort of deal. Knowing there was more to it made an odd sort of sense. "It does, but can I ask what exactly you craft?" she could see the research. Even she'd done that in her time, both as a cop and not, and knowledge was as vital as any weapon. But she'd also understand if it was something he wanted to keep close to his chest. She considered something then, "And is this something I can help with." Magic would always be out of her reach, and she was happy to let him be the expert on it, but she was sure an extra pair of hands might be handy.
She gave him a look at his other comments, before giving him a smile when he managed to stop. "Good call." It turned a bit more serious then before giving a sigh. "Shouldn't have had to. Not when the bars kept being moved up." She gave him a look that she hoped conveyed that no matter how irritating she found his sense of chivalry sometimes he'd never been part of her feeling like she had to measure up. "Oddly, the Einheriar helped." She shot him a smile she was sure he understood, "I'd have made a very good shieldmaiden, apparently." she knew she had a habit of pushing people out, so she was making a go at letting Harry in.
