It was kind of cute really. It was easy to forget this side of him sometimes, because he had moments of seeming to be larger then life, both unflappable and always having a plan ready. But then he turned around and seemed utterly delighted by the fact he could say things like that, and get to mean them. It was a great part of why she liked him so much. "See a lab? Makes much more sense. I am curious how that works." She wasn't completely out of her depth here, so offering him a chance to talk about something that was obviously dear to him might help. Plus she got to learn more.
"I think I'm fine without a lair though." While she was still getting used to things, and avoided those Waypoints as much as she could, she'd gotten a decent feel for the place. And the walk would be nice. She glanced up at the hip bump and smirked. "It's easy being underestimated." There'd been a time where she'd not opened up like this, but she was trying. "And before I thought I had to fit in. I thought that if I proved how much ass I could kick I'd stop being underestimated. Didn't quite turn out that way." she gave with a shrug. Now, her skills were useful in keeping her, and others, alive and safe but she'd picked up her studies to fit in, and make people proud.
