At his comment she gave him a curious look, wondering if he knew how apt those words were. For all she could tell, that had all actually happened. Considering who she used to hang out with, those stories seemed more and more credible. She wouldn't have considered that a few years ago. "I'm with you there."
In all honesty she hadn't exactly looked forward to a trip through the NeverNever, mainly because she knew how dangerous it was, but she'd have still done it. Now there was an odd mix of relief and disappointment, something that was only enhanced when he closed the Way.
She liked having a sense of control, and not finding a direct way forward didn't sit too well with her. But there wasn't another option, and if she could make something out of herself after the loss of the one thing she'd based most of her identity around then she could manage this. "When I got here, we'd just talked. Nothing had changed, even if time had passed for you." It wasn't her greatest words of comfort, but it was what she had. And something she was leaning on herself, that time was different here. "Guess this is as good a vacation as anything." And then because it was easier to jest then anything she motioned to the books she spotted on one of the shelves. "Really?"
