It was the weirdest sense of Déjà vu, seeing the old boarding house. She'd seen the after, because for some reason after Harry had disappeared she'd gone here first in a sort of weird bid of trying to make everything alright, and she'd seen how bad the building had been. It had needed to be restructured and remodeled from nearly the ground up and while they'd gotten close it hadn't been like this. Seeing it again was causing havoc on her. Back in Chicago, things made more sense. Old buildings re-appearing from nowhere, like a near literal phoenix rising from it's ashes? It was making her jumpy. The fact that she didn't even have the Society to really use to get a grasp on things wasn't helping much. Thank God for the volunteer work she'd found really, and the job. Having Harry here was helping a lot too.
Realizing the building wouldn't actually disappear she walked to the door, almost smiling at the note. It'd be almost naive, if one didn't know about the security system. One of which greeted her when she walked inside. It was hard not to smile at Mouse and she braced herself for his happy greeting, spending a few moments saying hello there before doing the same to Mister. The latter had been a good companion during that awful year, allowing her to shift her focus on taking care of something that needed her, and so she was glad to see him.
When she couldn't delay too much more she found her way to the stairs. She didn't know what it said that she wasn't surprised by them, but she took them cautiously enough. Knowing better then to interrupt, she might not know what he was saying but she could guess it was magic, she waited and returned the smile once he was done. She wished she had her gun with her but in this room, no matter how good she was that could also be dangerous. "It's....interesting," she finally settled on once she'd done a sweep. At least there was a circle, she knew how vital those could be for protection. She nodded then. "Alright let's do this." She knew that her job would mostly be to watch his back, and that she could do.
