Is good to go to Pride! At home, I am always wanting to do this, but feeling like I cannot, because of what might happen with family in Russia. Feels weird, to have no responsibility to no one except me. But feels good, yes? I miss family, but I am not missing being afraid.

Also I am thinking more parties should be No Shirt Is Necessary parties! Especially when it is hot like this, yes?

I figured I pretty much knew all there was to know but this place don't let up on the experiences. Still miss home some, always will, but the way you people like to celebrate everything about life is something special.

I do not I require assistance. I arrived days ago, but this morning there was a strange occurrence I had only wished peace and quiet for a few moments and my two companions left me for an exploration of the island.

They answer to Rai and Arashi but they have never been separated from my soul me. I have not seen them, but there was one report that they were getting into trouble in the city.

They I do not feel comp If you happen to run into them, I would appreciate a direction to go.

[OOC: Noodle Dragons! They are like dog-sized curious spiritual beings of mischief, feel free to say your character spotted them getting into minor amounts of trouble anywhere in the forest or city! Moving someone's prized dagger, closing a book a person was reading in the park, etc etc. ]

Well. I suppose I missed a great deal being off the mainland and avoiding the network. It would explain a lot though.

As luck would have it, Vallo decided to bring me something I did not expect to be gifted in the days after finding out about my husband's death. I got photographs. A great deal of them, some even from the wedding, but enough of them from all the time before. I was about ready to hurl something across the room, but before I could, I just wished that this loss would just stop hurting, that I could stop feelings stabs in my heart every time I thought of David in particular, but also of Zoya and Nikolai.

And just like that, I stopped feeling the pain. I guess sometimes Vallo does things correctly?

I missed Pride weekend though. That's a damn shame.

I've woken up with new memories before, but at least those didn't contain a lot of fleshy horrors and nightmare material. I shouldn't have eaten so much pasta last night. Still, I feel oddly more relaxed than I have in a long time. Closure is a wonderful thing. You ever have those days where you wake up and find out that things you've been anxious about are suddenly resolved and behind you? It's a rather thrilling experience. Flesh horrors aside.

All right. I've succeeded on my quest to make macarons. I've perfected scones, lemon meringue pie, chocolate soufflé... I even made an excellent steak dinner last night. And, listen, I'm not saying this to brag. I'm saying this because I showed up in Vallo have never actually cooked much more than campfire fish before and even three days ago, I was ruining every batch of macarons I'd attempted to make thus far.

So I don't know if this good luck/wish thing going around hit me, too, but I'm definitely okay with it. That being said, I officially have more food in this kitchen than my housemates can reasonably eat (no matter what they tell you otherwise), so if anyone is hungry, now's the time to claim some shockingly good food.
