While I have y'all here, it's February, and I just know you're looking for your holiday pies for your loved ones or to share with yourself because you deserve it! All our pies at the apothecary this month can be ordered early and sent ahead as a care package or as a secret admirer! And the strawberry cream has been heavily vetted by Shitty because I wouldn't serve y'all subpar strawberries!

FEBRUARY MENU FOR ROSE APOTHECARY

I've done some research about the Day of Valentine's so I know what it bloody well is now, thanks to the Google and also asking you lot - that being said, what better way to spend the day then romantically cruising between the islands? Molly just loaded quite a bit of rum onto the Siren's Call II, enough to last for awhile so booze cruises are open. The booze is admittedly optional, I don't force anyone to imbibe alcohol against their will. The goal is simply fun and fresh air and maybe some fishing! Impress your loved ones by catching a big floppy thing.

Interestingly, I also had a gift show up from home. It was once given to me by Hawke, and it's a Rivaini talisman - Rivain is where I'm from, you see. But it's meant to bring about love and boost fertility, so Maker only knows I don't need to keep it in my flat. If anyone would like to purchase it as a gift I'll be bringing to Glorious Purveyors so see what price they ask for it. I figure someone who wants an occupied womb will call upon its magic eventually.

ETA: Molly also reminded me about the hot chocolate cruise! That's exactly what it says on the tin, hot chocolate instead of booze. For the younger Vallo denizens.

OUTLANDER COVEN

I've secured a private tour of the Silniara Covens farm for those of you interested. They specialize in healing magic. The tour includes their vineyard and winery, if you're a fan of wine tastings, and they also make some pretty tasty kombucha if you're not interested in wine. There's no date set yet. I'm looking to gage the level of interest and when everyone would be free for a few hours.

Basically, anyone interested in a group wine tasting?

In addition to our regular Fight Club this month, we thought it might be a good idea to have something a little more tame and fun leading up to it. The Underground will be hosting a Pillow Fight Club on the evening of the 13th.

Pajama attire is welcome (Don't use this as an excuse to come starkers and claim it's what you wear to bed. You won't be allowed in.) and each entry requires a small fee and provides a pillow. Unlike normal Fight Club, we're allowing pairing signups (with, say, a loved one or a sibling that you'd like to beam in the head with a pillow), but you can also put yourself in the individual pot to be randomly paired with another. Winners will get a little prize but it's not cash like our standard fight club, more for fun, bragging rights, and a bit of chocolate.

Apparently the silverware order got mixed up and the company won't be able to deliver them until like Sunday which is obviously a no go since we open on Friday.

Thanks to Aiden--I guess--the Vorrera Sterling Silver Manufacturers--will be able to deliver what we need today. I mean he tried to do it as a "favor" so I'd dance with him next week at the Valentine's thing but that's a no so I'm paying 80%--his mom was impressed with my denial of his offer--but at least we'll have silverware!

But can you be at Cerberus to accept the delivery at 11????

I opened a cabinet today, and there's my wok, my steamer, and my rice cooker. Not just any wok, my wok, carbon steel with 15 years of seasoning on it. I'm guessing that's something that just happens here sometimes?

Want to celebrate Lunar New Year Sichuan-style? We put up red lanterns, eat a shitton of food with whoever we decide doesn't suck (since we don't have families here and lbr, ours are kind of lousy anyway), and set off fireworks. With Daisy gone home, I'm not gonna stay in the Playground anymore. Looks like I'll be moving back to Morningside. I hope she's okay at home.

I bucked up the nerve, went back to the Great Library, and took a CV with me.

Starting next week, I'll be a full time librarian there and also part time translator, even if I am a bit rusty on that end. I'm so bloody excited!
