A lot of Vallo felt very surreal to Steve, granted just being where he came from had also felt rather awkward. He had to quickly adapt to a new environment when he first arrived to New York and now here. Everything felt vastly different though Steve had learned to adapt. He had to. As Peggy said, he couldn't go back and live the life that he had lost, so he was just trying his best.
He was still looking at the copy of the Hobbit whilst figuring out what other books that he should get. Steve had always been a fan of the classics and he was always fond of suggestions. Then again, he already had a large list of things to get through, too. Steve was sure he'd be adding more to that soon. However, any thoughts that he had were interrupted when he heard a very familiar voice speak up. Looking over, the guy looked like Bucky or at least the Bucky that Steve had seen before he fell off the train. Steve hadn't really forgiven himself for that. Still, he had to err on the side of caution.
"Bucky?" Steve answered after a long moment. "Is that really you?"
