No, I hadn't thought so either. In our home country, they'd eaten their meat freshly butchered, but we visited the country of China when Temeraire was about a year old, and they served their dragons meat cooked and prepared with spices and other ingredients. I suppose it only stands to reason, though, that dragons would prefer something more flavourful and with more variety than raw meat.
