Standard Mark-sized ones have too much of a neural load for one pilot to control, but you have to be in perfect synchronization with a partner to work together. So we act as the movements of the jaegers themselves from the cockpit, one pilot on the left hemisphere, one for the right. It's a rarity to find skilled pilots that are drift compatible.
