Rogue and Erik were officially married on April 16th, in a quiet courthouse ceremony, but on April 18th they're hosting a bonfire for all to attend - friends, family, and everyone in between!
Simple and somewhat rustic, the party takes place on the island of Genosha - which can be reached by hitching a ride on a boat coming and going from Vallo's port town or hitching a ride with Billy, who has generously offered to teleport guests to the island (and Stephen opened a couple portals too, so anyone can just step through). It starts around sunset and will go until whenever we run out of food or everyone leaves, whichever - there's really no time limit; it's just meant to be a fun gathering away from the crowds and bright lights of the city, a time to unwind and unplug for awhile (though there's one building on Genosha that is powered with electricity, for the purpose of charging phones).
The main food theme is seafood, with plenty of lobster, clams, and mussels (and hot dogs - can't forget those). There's also various kabobs, mostly vegetables on skewers, and loads of roasted potatoes and corn. For those with a sweet tooth there's wedding cake (it's chocolate hazelnut) and, as a bonus, a DIY s'mores bar set up by the clambake - marshmallows are on sticks so all you have to do is roast them over the fire, smooshing them with whatever other toppings you want (peanut butter cups, peppermint patties, strawberries, bananas, etc) between two graham crackers. Yum. If you feel like dancing there's a space on the sand sectioned off with twinkling lights - music isn't live, but if anyone brings a guitar to strum or anything similar that's more than welcome.
The bonfire is open to everyone, and if you've never been to Genosha before you're free to explore - maybe even take some fruit if you'd like; there's plenty growing on trees around the island. Just don't disturb the house that was built from the hull of a ship - it's warded anyway, so anyone not in the Lehnsherr-Maximoff family who tries to go in may encounter a surprise.
Additionally, turning into a puppet will not be happening at this shindig (we're just gonna say Genosha is safe from that sort of thing) even if you get angry, though why would you? Out here in paradise?
