Luther Hargreeves 12 April 2021 | Narrative/Open Luther's arrival in Vallo/Figuring things out
RATING: TBD | Warnings: None ATM
It wasn't the first time Luther had found himself suddenly thrust into a place he hadn't been moments before, but that didn't make the whole situation feel any less bizarre.
One moment he'd been standing with his siblings, using the briefcase in Five's hand to travel back to their own time after an unexpected trip into the 60s (and Dallas, of all places) and the next thing he knew he was arriving in a totally new world instead of back in the City with his siblings. He was also very much alone. Again. Neat.
It didn't take long for him to be greeted by someone from an organization they called the DOA, who explained where he was and what had happened. The explanation came with a really weird video and served to reassure him that this hadn't been all Five's doing (again), although Luther wasn't sure how much he believed that.
Luther felt a little lost (in more ways than one) as he left the DOA. Once again he found himself in the position of having to figure out life independent of the Umbrella Academy, navigating a place he was unfamiliar with. The fact that it wasn't the first time he'd been in a similar position didn't really make it more comfortable or any easy to figure out where to start.
Exploring the city seemed like the next logical step and he set out to do just that. After a little bit of wandering and checking the place out, he found himself standing in front of what had to be a coffee shop of sorts. "Annie's," the sign read. It looked inviting, like a nice place to pause in his explorations and get a cup of coffee, maybe even a little something to eat. Without much hesitation, Luther made his way inside.
"Coffee," he grunted out, ordering a sandwich and a handful of cookies, too, before finding a seat at a small table that made his large frame feel even more so. Not that that was uncommon at all for him. He tried not to think of it as he raised the sandwich to take a bite.
