“I bet that’s been a blast, all that information at your fingertips?” Probably an overload for someone of her time, even Peter liked the extra convenience of a smart phone and the features and he was only a decade or so behind. He blinked briefly down at his jacket before back to her eyes, smirking a little more. “Thanks. I see you’re enjoying your modern clothes as well. They suit you.” Although he would love to see the normal stuff she’d have to wear. He sure as hell wouldn’t wear that poofy crap.
Peter was always hungry. But Eloise seemed eager to get into the games and the offer was just a courtesy to her excited flushed face. “Nah I’m good, let’s introduce you to Pac-Man.” He pointed over to one of the arcade set ups just across where they were standing, classic blue and yellow fonts with the yellow monster and his ghosts running about the outside. He led her over to the screen, placing a few quarters on the play board. “Alright, arcade games are based on a coin system. You wanna play? You put in the quarter. PacMan is all about using your strategy and navigation to have him eat all the dots before the Ghosts can get him.” He put in a coin to start a stage show she can observe from his side. “You move him up, down, left, and right, to get through the puzzle. When he eats the big candies? The Ghosts are vulnerable. You can eat them and send them back to the square for points. Also the fruit if you’re feeling chancy. You wanna get as many points as you can and get extra lives— if the ghosts catch you? You loose a life and die.” He let Pinky the ghost back him into a corner and let Pac-Man die to demonstrate.
“Go ahead, give it a shot.” He stepped aside for Eloise to let her try, “See how long you can survive.”
