ARTIE!
"We should order room service," Smeth said suddenly, breaking the silence as he dropped the paper to the floor next to the chair he was lounging in. He'd have to save it for another time when Artie being named an eligible bachelor would be funny and the rest of the commentary could be ignored. He hadn't planned on staying this long, he didn't exactly have the time to take off work. Spring tended to be one of the busiest times with witches and wizards eager to get out in the nicer weather. The excitement often lead to them forgetting that magical creatures also were also excited about the change in seasons. He couldn't possibly miss the Scotland vs. England game when it was so easy for him to go.
The plan was to portkey in for the game, try to grab dinner with Artie after, and then catch the last one back to London that evening. But then there was that accident and--- Smeth couldn't just leave, not without making sure his friend was okay. He nearly got himself into a shouting match with his mother as she refused to let him in to see him, despited being a qualified healer and his best friend. By the time Artie had been released, he was back to his normal schedule and there hadn't really been any time to talk about what had been said when he feel.
Not wanting to leave until he was positive that Artie was okay, being cleared to fly was not enough for him, Smeth decided to stay claiming that it was his intention all along to come out for a week as a surprise. Whatever was going on, it wasn't something that could easily be brushed off and eventually, Artie would be ready to talk about it.
"I'm starving, and I don't feel like moving, so it has to be the best option, right?"
