A twenty-year-old psychology student originally from London, Alyssa moved to the OC with her mother three years ago. She dreams of being an angelic demon slayer and avenger of the dead from all timelines and points in history. She fell in quickly with Logan Howlett and fell in love with him, pushing him away when she felt that she was holding him back. Eventually she dated Damian Wayne, the boy with no home she and her mother had taken in. Alyssa broke up with Damian after about six months because she felt he'd always be jealous of her friendship with Logan. She dated Christian Grey next, and the relationship was a fun and lighthearted one, only broken up by his having to move to Ireland for work.

When Alyssa's mother Nancy got a diagnosis of terminal ovarian cancer, Alyssa moved back to England per her mother's final wishes and oversaw Nancy's arrangements. However, she soon missed her friends and makeshift family in California and returned. For a time she lived with her BFF Kitty Pryde in the house that she'd inherited from her mother and returned to school. She started dating Peeta Mellark and quickly became engaged to him. However, she broke things off when she realized she was still in love with Logan.

Alyssa is a bit of an old soul and likes knitting, old films, and dancing (she took street and hip-hop dance classes through her youth and continues to do so). She has a stinky ginger cat named Flower, and she likes to practice hand-to-hand combat to augment the magical archery and sword fighting she knows from her dreams. She has limited teleportation powers (she can go anywhere she's already been) that come from the holy water vial she received from her dreams. The vial also turns into a magical bow that uses arrows of holy light. She has a sword made of holy fire in her chest she can remove when need be.

Gazlene "Gaz" Membrane is one of the last children on the branches of the gnarled DuPont family tree. This meant that she was born into wealth and privilege. However, unlike her parents, she hated this. She thought it was spoiled and stupid, and eschewed it at every turn. Unfortunately for Gaz, her father had a mean streak, and her mother turned to drink to get away from the verbal and physical abuse. The drinking would lead to Gaz's mother passing in a car accident when Gaz was only twelve.

Gaz managed to find refuge in painting and video games from an early age. She was precocious, and her father was proud that someone in his family would live up to the family name like he had. (He had invented a few things that received patents, like soda dispensers for fast food restaurants.) But when Gaz's flame burned even brighter than his own, he saved the ire he'd formerly reserved only for his wife and funneled it toward Gaz. When she was sixteen, she'd had enough. She stole some insulin from one of her friend's medicine cabinets, and while her father slept, injected it between his toes, inciting a heart attack. A newly rich heiress, Gaz was assigned a caregiver by the state, the maid that had long watched over the Membrane household.

Once Gaz turned eighteen, she did a few things: she gave the Membrane mansion to the maid as a thank you for her service, set up an account for the maid and gave her enough money to retire with, and then moved the rest of the funds into a bank account she could ignore. She then applied to as many schools as she could for art history. She got into UCI on a full ride scholarship. Gaz vowed to only use family funds when she had to, and to make a living on pro gaming and her paintings.

It was while she was at UCI that Gaz met Logan Howlett and Kitty Pryde, as well as many others. It was also then that she started to dream - dreams that were strange and fantastic. Dreams where an all-too-absent, demented genius of a father made a little girl out of the blood of a serial killer and the soul of a demon. Eventually in her waking life, Gaz eloped and moved to France. It didn't work, and she moved back to Irvine to finish her degree. She realized she loved Kitty, and recently proposed.

Kyu "Sugardust" Wallace is the daughter of a "sexual liberator" from the seventies (think Betty Dodson) and a roadie. She came out of the womb screaming and with white blonde hair, and never really stopped. Even as a little kid she was a troublemaker, punching her peers in the face when they were rude. She does, however, have a finely tuned sense of obligation when it comes to helping people out; she thinks that if she can do something for someone else, she should. As a teenager she went through a punk phase, and now in her early twenties she'd say she's more of a anarchist.

In college at UCI for art history, Kyu has to tell people that yes, she knows her name is Asian and no, she is in fact not, on the daily. She's a tattoo artist for her day job. Her parents ended up pretty well off (who knew that you could hold seminars about masturbation and get fat stacks?) so she doesn't want for much and is kind of a little bit spoiled. She works as a bit of a part time drug-dealer on the side - no hard shit, she's not stupid. She also has a tendency to play matchmaker.

Her dreams involve getting people laid and being a legit for real fairy. She loves that her wings and ability to live off of sexual energy have carried through to her waking hours. The wings are useful, and living off of sex is just awesome.

Andrew Matthew Compton was born in Aldershot, England. His father was an American on holiday, and his mother was a woman who thought she was in love. Andrew doesn't remember anything of his father, but thanks him for his heritage as it granted him dual citizenship. In Andrew's thirty-five years, he's done a lot of things that he's proud of: he was valedictorian of his high school class, he graduated summa cum laude from Princeton, and he went to Harvard Medical School where he finished second in his class. Immediately he knew he wanted to be a surgeon, and he wanted to be the best wherever his specialty ended up. Eventually, he did a rotation with a plastic surgeon, and Andrew found that he had a special affinity for covering up scars and fixing trauma. He settled on plastic surgery and set up practice in the suburbs of Boston, but he always set his sights on that mecca of his new profession: Beverly Hills.
After working and gaining a reputation, he soon got enough money to move to California. Around the same time his biological father passed away and left Andrew a sizeable sum that he put toward starting his practice. That was ten years ago, and his reputation now is impeccable, his client list Hollywood's greatest and up and coming both.
He's a private man that doesn't get out much, so married he is to his work. A never-been-married bachelor, Andrew prefers to stay home and read medical journals in lieu of partying.

Abigail Hobbs' life has been as far from easy as one's life can possibly be. She lived a fairly normal childhood until she was seven years old. One night while she was supposed to be asleep, her father Garrett Jacob Hobbs stabbed his wife to death eight times in the neck before trying to locate his daughter. Fortunately for Abigail, she'd heard her mother's gurgling and her father's grunting as he moved. Abigail had snuck out of her window and shimmied up onto the roof where she waited for her father to leave. Only he didn't. He killed himself with the gun they used to go hunting. The police came when a neighbor reported hearing a gunshot to find a little girl crying and shivering on the roof in a Minnesota winter, nearly dead of hypothermia. From there it was on to foster care. She didn't talk for months after the trauma, and her therapists agreed that the family annihilation had come from her father's repressed urges toward little Abigail, as he'd detailed in his diaries. (Abigail overheard them, and took it to mean that it was all her fault.) So the quiet, nearly mute girl lived for the rest of her teenage years in foster care, working hard at school and getting top grades. Eventually she came out of her shell a bit, and talked to a few kids at the institution, but not as often the adults. She's eighteen now, and going to UCI on a full ride scholarship in their criminal justice program. She'll likely be quiet, and not super trustworthy at first, but she's trying to make an attempt per her advisor's urging.

Japan has never been kind to gajin, to foreigners. Yamamura Sadako, or Sada to her parents, was always strange, was always other. She was born in New York City to an American father and a Japanese exchange student. Her mother thought that her beau would stay, but unfortunately that wasn't the case. Heartbroken, Sada's mother returned to Tokyo with her baby in tow. She raised her child as a gift, as a small reminder of all the possibilities for goodness in the world. She also named her child as a reminder to never give her love away so frivolously (Sada and Ko combining to mean chaste child). Sada was a startlingly beautiful child, precocious in intelligence and understanding of the world around her. She'd always think before she spoke, scrunching up her face in contemplation and finally speaking. It was because she was an old soul that her mother spoke to her as an adult, telling her that she wasn't really a pure Japanese - she was American. It was this knowledge that drove Sada to study English as diligently as any other subject save one: theater. Only when she was acting in school plays or dancing in ballet class did little Sada truly come alive and look like the young girl that she truly was instead of an old soul in a new body.

During university, Sada went to an audition to become an idol and despite the misgivings of all of the managers for the entertainment company, Sada won the popular vote. Girls identified with her, boys wanted to kiss her and everyone liked her singing and dancing. But where she really shone was her acting. With encouragement from her smitten manager, she took to the big screen and quickly won over Japan. Since she's bilingual, now she wants Hollywood too. Her management company has been pushing to have more actors in American features, and Sadako seemed a natural fit. Moving to California was a big adventure, but she's mostly settled and enjoying small parts in films and theater both. But she's always looking for something bigger.
