Thank fuck that bad weather's over. I fucking hate the cold, ironically.

Stables were fine, even though the horses were spooked by those walking piles of rocks.

I think I'm glad for a brief reprieve from the drama of my dreams; I'm just wandering through a misty wood with some dryads. No centipedes, no monsters, just this grumpy white-haired man and some really beautiful dryads.

Elves, more like. But half the dryads I've met so far were humans or elves and have been turned into dryads.

I think some of them can but most of them can't? Geralt keeps talking about Frexinet (who's a guard, he was with me) who might be "used"?

So... I think they kidnap men to try and use them for breeding? It's not been explicitly stated, but Dryad birth rates are super low so they also take women who head into the forest and turn them into Dryads.

That is... a little worrying?

I take it this Geralt isn't letting you get turned into a Dryad? Being that you are a woman in the forest and they have a history? Or are you about to become a Dryad?

Very. This world is definitely more sort of Black Cauldron/Game of Thrones dark fantasy.

I have no idea, I'm still like, ten or something. I don't want to be a dryad, but maybe my dreams would be better if I was just hanging out in a forest speaking the Elder Speech and shooting trespassers all day... No courts or engagements to flee from.

Oh, yeah. If I had the option to be a Dryad instead of doing that stuff? I'd take it, in a heartbeat. Forest life all the way.
