Have any of you ever had a realization about a game after years of playing it that after you realize it is just so obvious that you can't figure out how you never got it before? That was me today with Pokemon Go. Ekans is just snake spelled backwards and it's the name of a snake pokemon.

The things you find out about someone the month before your wedding. Eren who is a horror movie nut to the point of we have a tv in our bedroom for when he's watching his movies in the living room - has never seen The Mummy. Which is the one horror movie I've watched all the way through and actually enjoy watching.

And made me realize that my interest in archaeology and ancient societies wasn't just a side effect of my massive crush on Harrison Ford. I mean that's a part of it but not the main reason my interest in them stayed.

Could someone please explain people to me? Part of my closing tasks at the end of the night is cleaning the restroom. Which isn't a job anyone really likes to do, but has to be done. I've seen my share of weird things, like the one time I went in and someone completely TPed the bathroom (just. why?)

Last night, though, I went in and someone took the lining out of the trash can and filled it with empty packages that look like they were from the game shop a couple of doors down. And poured what looks like an entire energy drink out on top of it all. I... what? What was even the reason for any of that? Did they think a can of red bull was going to destroy the evidence for them?

In light of recent events, and because I'm definitely sure I will not be going out into anything like that if it happens again, I've contacted to have a panic room installed.

Scooby and I will need to find somewhere else to stay for a week or so at the start of September, but on the plus side, Scooby and I will also have somewhere safe to stay, with supplies and power, if something like that happens again.

I'm just really glad that everything turned out okay.

A few months ago I had the Enterprise set up a sensor net around Earth. Mostly to pick up oncoming asteroids and comets so we can attempt to deflect them.

Had an interesting false reading today that turned out to be an old abandoned satellite from the 70s that wasn't in the database of known objects. I think it was used for broadcasting.

You can only keep one, the other ceases to exist.
