I offered to help my mom with the Christmas cards this year so that she's not driving herself nuts trying to get them all done between Thanksgiving and Christmas. My portion of the list? Over 100 people. Which is why I'm sitting in my living room with Leo curled up beside me surrounded by boxes of Christmas cards and the handwritten messages mom wants me to write in each card.

I love her but I think next year - she can just drive herself crazy trying to get them all done.

We're finally heading towards winter and I can remember how to breathe again. The first few months of the school year always go by in a rush. While they'd disagree, High School students are mostly the same in California as they are in New York, but there are enough differences that I've been kept on my toes.

Well dream me picked quite the time to go out and get high. Of course, I didn't know that Kira and Mrs. S were going to get kidnapped that night. Although I did enjoy everyone's reactions to my outfit. That was quite amusing, but then again, it's not as if I've never worn assless chaps in real life. Then Sarah decides to send me to Allison's, while I'm high as a bloody kite to get a gun. Honestly, does that sound like a good idea to anyone? No, I didn't think so either. Then Sarah decides to go an impersonate Cosima at some event, which I again, thought was a bad idea, but she insisted because she assumed that they were the ones who had Kira. Turns out we were all wrong and it likely has to do with Helena.

These dreams really do my head in sometimes.

I saw someone at work looking at this forum and it looked like fun so I thought I'd join too. I'm new in town, but not new to California as a whole. I recently got my masters, so it's been such a relief to have some downtime.

I'd like to fill that downtime with friends, if I can. Would anyone like to go see a movie with a complete stranger? I'll buy lunch.

This place has definitely gotten more interesting since I was last around regularly. Seems like something is always happening here.

Might stick around for awhile and see if I can make work here, instead of abroad.

Future Industries is looking for talented girls and women with an interest in engineering, mechanics and aeronautics. We have a program to train and teach girls so they can enter STEM fields, whether or not they stay with my company.

If you're interested, please contact either myself or Josephine Montilyet.

I love skittles! Brilliant things, not as good as a Jammie Dodger, but really nothing is so it's fine enough really. But fact is it's brilliant, delicious and wonderful, and I have now purchased a ridiculously large bag of them for incredibly cheap at a local market thanks to post-Halloween sales. I'm eating them regularly, with my tea, and it's helping me to do edits in my book.

Some people's grammar is atrocious. Honestly, I was at a cafe today and happened to overhear a conversation between two girls and one of them actually said, and I quote, 'I should have tooken the day off tomorrow.' I couldn't help but turn around and tell her that I think the word she meant was taken, because tooken is not a word. She didn't seem too happy to be corrected. And this is why I'd grateful to have gone to private school.
