So one o' my bookkeepers suggested I get myself a phone and tablet to better keep track of sales, clients, projects, whatever sorts of things you keep track of are.

I'm a bit old fashioned and keep things in unorganized piles on my desk at the bar, seems to work well enough, but she's convinced it could be better. So, I write today to ask everyone here, what the hell is a tablet, and what do I do with it? I've got a nice enough phone I figure, it makes calls, but she thinks it's gotta be something far better than that.

So, good news is that track trials are starting up so I'll be able to get into the swing of something other than sitting around at home, bad news is there are a lot more people at this school than my last one. So I fear I won't make the track team.

Also, my mom's trying to convince me NOT to get my driver's license, but I really want to... sounds exciting. But, she's rather insistent. So, would any of you be willing to teach me to drive a car? Only because my parents are both far too worrisome to really teach me and will likely not even offer in hopes to keep me at bay.

We like to say that a cat, or another pet, moved themselves in. That it was entirely their fault that they're entered our lives. We give up our own agency rather than admit to ourselves that its our choice and our choice alone that lets the cat in. We don't often like to admit that we voluntarily take these creatures into our hearts and our homes.

It's easier to say that the cat moved in, and wouldn't take no for an answer.

I lost my keys four times yesterday. Four. And I spilled a steaming hot, white chocolate mocha down my front without a spare set of clothes in my office. My salad turned out to be spoiled, so I had Doritos for lunch. Then I bit the inside of my cheek. It was a really crappy day.

I am so glad it's Saturday.

So after my alarm didn't go off, I locked myself out of my office, spilt my first cup of coffee down me and smashed the screen on my phone, I had a quick look for reasons why Friday the 13th is considered unlucky. I'd always thought it was because of the Knights Templar, but apparently there's a whole lot more to it!

I posit that we create our own luck on days like these. The cumulative effect of all these stories passed down through generations is that we expect on some level for the day to be bad luck and thus, sub-consciously create bad luck situations.

Thoughts anyone?

OOC: I hope that makes sense, I'm sick atm :-/

I would be remiss as a math nerd if I didn't wish everyone a happy Pi Day.

This is a dark chocolate raspberry pie I made just for the occasion, because yes, math nerds can bake.

Alright. These dreams of mine are much like watching a patchwork quilt being made. This Doctor fellow is quite the intriguing man in many ways. The first one nearly rivaled me in crankiness levels. I still want to know how that fur coat thing the second one had didn't sprout legs and walk off. The third one had quite the brilliant automobile. I don't understand how the fourth wasn't strangled by his amazingly long scarf. Seriously, how did people not step on it or pull on more frequently? Anyway, back to the point. Why did the fifth one wear a piece of celery on his lapel? The sixth one actually had a patchwork coat that was a bit reminiscent of his personality. The seventh one was...a question mark, I suppose. The eighth was quite the dapper fellow.

I don't quite know why I'm talking about these here, but there seem to be a few of us who share these same sorts of dreams. Still waiting for how I personally fit into this puzzle, though.
