"Nobody will hurt you as long as you’re in my arms."
Who: Tenoh Haruka and Kaioh Michiru
What: Dramas.
When: After these texts.
Where: Their place.
Rating: R, for discussion of what happened to Michiru whilst she was kidnapped. TW for kidnapping, abuse and other related terribles.
Status: Complete.

Michiru breathed heavily, curled up into a little ball on the floor between the couch and the wall, Mana in her arms, Kei at her feet looking up with worried eyes. She bit her lip, stroking the cat and trying to let the purr she was giving off soothe it. It was helping a little bit, but not enough to fully help her. She was terrified and didn’t have any idea why.

In a mere second she got a flash of what had happened and she burst into tears, letting out a pathetic noise. Haruka was absolutely correct, it was what had happened to her. The woman cringed and pushed her face into the cat’s fur when she heard the door open and she put her eyes over the arm of the couch to look for her.

Haruka’d made damned sure she’d get home quicker than usual, risking transforming and taking to the rooftops as Uranus to get there. She let the transformation drop before the opened the door, taking care to avoid making any loud noises.

She didn’t want to startle Michiru. Not whilst she felt like this. “I’m home, Michiru... it’s going to be okay, I promise.”

Seeing her made her heart beat a little softer, she knew full well if Haruka was around she was going to be safe. It didn’t make the issue go away entirely though. “What’s going on... Why am I like this?” Bit her lip and ducked back behind the couch, clinging tight to the kitten who was now rather squished.

Somehow, Haruka was pretty sure that Mana could take it. That little kitten adored Michiru beyond all reason, so... she moved over to her, kneeling by the couch - she didn’t dare sit next to her, just in case.

Kei headbutted her hand, just a sort of ‘daddy, help’ gesture, and she honestly couldn’t blame her for that. “I guess we’ve never really had time to deal with what happened...”

Michiru just buried her face into the tiny ball of fluff in her arms, her shoulders shaking with the tears that were forcing their way out. She didn't feel safe anywhere and her entire back she could feel the pain all over again. And where her breaks had been, they burned so badly. “Make it stop...”

“I wish I could...” Even with all her powers, Haruka couldn’t help with emotional pain all that well. It wasn’t their realm of influence... only their princess would have even a slight chance, and she didn’t even seem to recognise them yet. “I’ll do anything I can for you, Michiru. I hate to see you in pain...”

“I can remember it... All the pain. All the fear. I hurts. My body hurts. I can feel it.” Kept her eyes shut tight, unable to open them, too afraid to open them. God it was terrifying and horrible and she wanted it to just go away. “Haruka... Make it stop please. Make it stop!” Michiru gave the most pathetic noise before starting to scream out in fear.

God, what Haruka would’ve given to have even a fraction of the powers their princess held... she dared to get up onto the couch, pulling Michiru into her arms. Even though she knew it likely wouldn’t help, the symbol of Uranus flickered on her forehead as she attempted to soothe her... “It’s okay... I’ve got you. Nobody will hurt you as long as you’re in my arms.”

For a brief second Michiru panicked and tried to hit Haruka until she became actually aware of where she was and she took to holding tight around her, digging her nails into her back and just sobbed. It was not a good thing, and for all her powers and own abilities... nothing was going to help this other than talk about it. The warmth and energy from her lover did help to a degree, enough to get her out of the downward spiral and she just went limp against her. “Haruka...”

She could take being hit. Hell, she’d taken worse for Michiru in the past, and Haruka was set on taking as much of her pain and suffering as she could... she’d be a terrible fiancé if she didn’t. In her opinion, at least.

“It’s going to be okay...” Her voice was low, as soothing as she could get it, as she gently ran her fingers through Michiru’s hair. “I think we’re going to have to talk about... this. Get it out of your system.”

“I... I don’t want to. It makes me feel ill whenever I do. Just let me calm down... I’ll be fine.” Pushed closer to her, trying to get her breathing under control. This was not her idea of fun at all. Yes she needed to talk about it, but Haruka would have to ask questions for her to give answers in return. It was just how her mind was going to work.

Haruka shook her head. “I’m sorry, Michiru, but it’s got to be done...” It wouldn’t be pleasant, by any stretch of the imagination, but it was either this or Michiru would probably live in fear for... well, there was no telling how long. “Tell me how it started, at least?”

“I... But?” She started to protest before stopping and just dropping her shoulders and her head. “I was... On my way somewhere. I don’t remembe- no I was off to get something to drink at a convenience store and... There was two girls I kept seeing. Next thing... I know I had something held to my mouth and it was hard to breathe and then things went black.” Tensed and bit her lip.. Not wanting to go on.

She might not’ve wanted to go on, but Haruka was going to have to make her... much as it pained her. Damn their link. “And what’s the next thing you remember?”

“I...” Reached down to pick up her little kitty and held her close whilst still staying in Haruka’s arms. “Remembered waking up and it smelled and... my hands her bound behind me. And my legs. I tried to scream but then... I felt a boot right against my cheek..” Started to shake, swallowing hard.

Haruka couldn’t disguise the wince at that revelation. Truly, such charming people... why did she always seem to attract the absolute crazies? “It’s okay, Michiru... I’m going to need you to keep going, though. Okay? I’ll be right here... you don’t have anything to worry about...”

“I don’t want to... It hurts you. I know it does.” Whimpered and just focused on the kitten, eyes starting to well up with tears.

“It might hurt me, but that doesn’t matter. What matters is that it helps you.” Haruka could honestly take anything for her. A little pain every now and then was nothing.

“They’d... hit me with a baseball bat. Then... I’d have to eat only bread and peaches. I... They’d kick me and tell me it was my fault for being with you. For saying yes. That is was all my fault and that I... was going to die at the end of all this.” Gripped tighter to the kitten and it squeaked.

“Take it easy on Mana, my love...” How could people honestly think like that and get away with it? Haruka hated her fans all the more as of this moment... Michiru was important to her, something she made a point of emphasising during every interview and publicity spot, and they’d treat her like that? It disgusted her to no end. “You know none of that was your fault, right? They were just two insane women... women who should’ve known that I would find you, I would save you, no matter what they did.”

“I was honestly beginning to lose hope that you’d save me... For that I am most ashamed. I doubted your abilities, doubted your love. Doubted us...” Michiru sighed heavily and let the kitten down so she wouldn’t be tempted to put the death grip of love on her again, keeping her head down. “They.. draped me over a table and sealed my body with plastic wrap... Then poured water over me like I... was going to drown. I couldn't breathe...” And she’s slowly being unable to breathe now.

Haruka made a point of pulling Michiru against her, keeping her hold fairly loose. “Listen to my heartbeat, Michiru. That alone. Focus on that, on my love for you... you’ll be okay, I promise.”

The green haired woman did just that, leaning in to push her ear over her heart and focused on just that on the bup-bump that beat in a smooth rhythm, it was nice... so nice, in fact, that the exhaustion that all of this had on her physical and mental well-being made her lull down into sleep.

Something that Haruka truly wasn’t surprised by. That she could make Michiru relax enough to allow for sleep was clearly a good thing... she lightly ran her fingers through the other woman’s hair, just to try and add to it all. She wasn’t going to let this happen again.

She was a soldier, dammit. She could save her in a heartbeat from anyone who dared try... and nobody would stop her.

Michiru let out a contented noise and her entire body relaxed as she drifted into deeper sleep, head tipping slightly back to facing Haruka better. Sleeping beauty if ever someone were asked to describe it. Her lips slightly parted and her hair draped back. She’d let it grow out longer, mostly because Haruka had said one time that she liked her with long hair.

Well, of course Haruka liked her with longer hair... her lover was the embodiment of the oceans, and really, longer hair just added to the overall look. That it was also strangely fun to mess with using her powers was completely unrelated!

...Okay, maybe she wasn’t as mature as she pretended to be.
