"It's hard to remember the actual night terrors." Will would have said that even if he remembered, but he honestly didn't. "All that I remember is the fear. The nightmares are somewhat different."
He had to take a moment to think. Eventually, Will quietly spoke. "Sometimes the nightmares will involve people I've seen, or people in the news. I tend to avoid newscasts because I can find myself imagining, in my head, how the event happened."
He wet his lips. "The most recent nightmare I can remember was when a man took hostages in a bank in San Diego. I remember ... being him. I could describe the bank to a tee. I could see his plans, his tools. I knew instinctively that he was going to take everyone with him - that there wasn't any reason for him to let any of them live. It wasn't actually about money - it was about power, and control. He felt empowered by these decisions."
Will shivered, looking up at Dr. Lecter. "I ... I suppose the answer is yes."
